Your dream car?
If we're dreaming, why not a hand made Bugatti, probably somewhere in the high 6 to low 7 figure dollar amount, (depending on how you fully customize this beast).
Did I mention that it's all hand made and street legal...lol...

A lot of nice cars on this thread, but this has been my dream car since it first appeared in the movies when I was about six years old. I had a working model of it when I was young and this past December, I was in the spy museum in Washington DC and bought another model of it that sits on my night stand. Someday.....

Mine would be the split window Corvette. Nah, take that back. the 1937 Cord. That to me was the most beautiful car ever made. In fact, I will say that I once bought a Dodge Mirada because the whole car seemed to me to be a Cord front end welded to exotic corinthian leather. LOL!
Pretty much any pre-war car, especially those built in few numbers would be on the top of my list. I am a sucker for vintage M-B's and possibly my all time favorite would be the 540K Special Coupe (but I would take the roadster)

The Crossfire was actually built and delivered during a time when cars were flying off the lots. The problem was nobody wanted a crossfire. Nobody knew what it was. They were to busy buying 350Z, Audi TT and Infinity G35. 2 seaters have always been hard to sell.
Those hard economic times you speak of started in 2007 and we are still in it. Same old story.... no progress to fix the issue in 4 years. Just lots of vacations and talk with no Action. But this is a seperate issue for the political forum

You are right Blackie but,,,,,,,
Politics belongs in another separate forum here. This is a good subject to discuss cause it matters. Why not take this up there.
Thank you.

Without question, since the age of 7, there is one and only one car I have lusted for:

The Last of The V8 Interceptors.
"You can shut the gate on this one Maxie, it's the Duck's guts."
"She's the last of the V8's..."
"Phase IV Heads, Sucks Nitro, 600 horsepower at the wheels!"
"Look at him! He's in a coma man!"
1973/74 Ford (of Australa) Falcon XBGT Coupe (Slightly modified by the Main Force Patrol)
Nice replicas like the one pictured run $50-75k. Not absurd, but perpetually out of my grasp....Someday.
One of the highlights of my life thus far was attending Ford's 100th anniversary in Dearborn with the Australian Falcon owners, and cruising Woodward Ave Sat. night in an Interceptor. Priceless.
Below is a page from Australian Muscle Car (an Aussie mag) with pics from the event.
I'm riding shotgun (on the lefthand side of the car.) in the black Interceptor, on our way to Woodward, in the center pic.
(with a replica of Milner's Coupe leading.)

The old benzes and dueses were gorgeous, but most of us here prefer something a little different.
For me, it would be a classic with a beautiful rear end....
1936 Auburn BoatTail Speedster.

The deLorean has always been my dreamcar. Given unlimited funds it seems like a wasted opportunity to get one of these but I would always kick myself for not trying. Same went for the Crossfire.
But with unlimited funds I would visit DMC in Texas where they can assemble a full new vehicle using parts they aquired from the original company. Turn key models sell for $60k. But I don't was just that, I want the BEST electrical components and the hybrid sports engine from a Tesla fitted and re-engineered to fit and power the deLorean. I also want an iron-clad extended warranty program that covered everything and would replace even the lamest picky issues I come up with, like wrinkles in the leather seats. And lastly I want the car and the program to be transferrable...forever and ever.
