I think I will just go POSTAL. So what is the point of selling your baby? Now how are you going to pick up all those single ladies? In a pick up? Paleease! LOL

You can always borrow mine or Ashley's.

Interesting, I just can't see me satisfied with another car that is of equal quality and speed without spending 100k.

Gary and I have tried for months to keep Dan from trading his car in but the man has a dream!!! Dan is one of the best friends that I have ever had and I met him because of this forum. As I have told him in our BILLION conversations about him trading in the car .... the XF may be how I met my friend but its not WHY we are friends.

I know everyone wanted the rear diffusers but I did call dibs on them 6 months ago. I think my words to Dan were something along the lines of "I don't want you to sell the car but if you do these are what I want off of it."

No one should worry about loosing Dan from our community - he will be at events even if I have to stuff him in my tiny little roadster trunk to get him there!

I am going to celebrate our good friend getting to follow his dream of exploring the country and the frozen tundra of Alaska. I expect to see tons of pictures and have a warm place to stay if I am able to get up that way!!!

This weekend at the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise we are going to help him send the XF off to its new owner in style!!!

Dan,
You were there, at my first GTG ... I had no Crossfire, but DID buy one within two weeks.

And you were there for my first run thru the Dragon. I sure hate to see your car go... please stay in touch!

Dan, you're the man...you can't leave us!! You can ride with Rick at the Dragon's and I'll sip Cosmo's at the pool.

You are our best buddy! We have really enjoyed knowing you. Hope to still see you this spring @ Fontana!

What? I just read this thread, and while you mentioned at Woidward you were considering selling your XF, I didn't think you would. That was real clean XF you had. Well, I'm Glad you will continue to stay around.

Good luck with your new ride.

Finally! You took long enough to do it but you're finally without a Crossfire and I can only hope you will quit hanging around and showing up at events. Really Dan, the number of times I had to look at you.....how irritating. I expect you'll go off and eat the wrong plant then hold up in some broken down forgotten trailer. A good thing you sold the car, it would be heartbreaking to let a Crossfire sit out in the wilderness forgotten and wasting away. Anyway if your in the area don't bother looking us up, we won't be home. I get to delete your email and phone number too......not another nice call from me. The years have crawled by but my patience has been rewarded I'm going to get a nice ice cold beer or two.

All the best Dan. A Durango with a HEMI would be interesting on the Dragon.

Dan - Always tough to see one of the forum founding fathers move on, but on the other hand, life's too short to drive just one car for too long. You've always been a class act and will definitely be missed.

If you're in the lower 48 next Aug, let's see how that Durango does on the sand dunes at the post WW GTG!

Thanks for the positive contributions to the forum and good luck.

OMG Dan,

This is worse than losing the Politics section.

Great gads man, come to your senses. Life in Alaska bad enough, but............life without a Crossfire?..............insane.

You will be missed. So please, don't be a stranger.

Guys, Dan will still be around! He still has his XF for a few more months while waiting for the Durango to arrive. He will be at the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise this weekend as his last official outing with his XF. This is a great event and everyone is more than welcome to come down to enjoy it us!

What is all this crap about Alaska, Dan?

I am sorry to hear about the XF, but everyone must move on eventually (to some of us, the moving on will be death).

I value your friendship and look forward to drinking plenty of bourbon with you in the future, regardless of what car you pull up in...
