Default Changed the battery

Hi Folks,

I just changed my original battery and I am getting the service required (two wrench) message. Any ideas?

May be coincidence. When did you last reset the FSS?

Try again. My first time took several attempts before it worked. Its all about timing.

I just changed my battery today. The original just started to show signs that it was getting weak. After all it was installed at the factory in Oct of 2003. Can't complain. I got my new battery at Advance Auto Parts. It fits well.

You will need to check on what you need to have done for service, resetting the FSS solves nothing. If you want to keep the car in top shape you should do the recommended services sometime at or around the indicated mileage.

Resetting the FSS may or may not happen on the first try, do it until it works. My dealership never did it after a free oil change, or if they tried they never succeeded.

I doubt the battery change had anything to do with the FSS coming on.
