Trashed Michelons at 4700 miles
:( Front are trashed at 4700 miles.. apparently car's front was out of alignment the day I bought it...!!! Dealer passed the buck and said it was tire warrenty, tire store said oh no it is a bad alignment...my problem...I told the dealer it was their fault and I wanted a rental. oh no rentals are only for pacifica owners. I told them to look it up,,,they called 30 min later..ok here is a cheap white dodge car. We will only charge you 50 $ for 2 tires. Conti's or any other brand the next time

i have the michelins and 4.6K miles, but they don't seem to be wearing much at all.
I'm Aurocrossing mine at least twice a month and I have 10k on my Pilot Sport 2s and they still look great. You can see by the autocross videos that I'm pounding them pretty hard. I've been very impressed with them. I would guess that I have at least 12 - 15k left on them, at my current pase. For the way am abusing them, I think, if I get 25k, that's pretty darn good.
I just drove a crossfire up in Chicago that had the Michelins PS2's and had over 20k miles on the car. It went through a full winter and now summer. The tread looked no different than my own. I guess the tires are better than I thought!
diane... did they quote you a price mounted and balanced out the door? Glad to hear we're looking at 25k miles or so. It sure beats the original estimate of 10-12k we were seeing posted last winter.

Chrysler rep was there when I drove in. Said he didnt think it was set at the factor right with $47 today and got 4 days free rental and 2 new front tires. Im happy. Original tires had worn severly on outboard side of each tire, not cupped but worn on outside1/2 inch of each tire.
yea, check alignment of steering wheel. After reading the posts my somewhat off-center steering wheel became a concern. Took it in when I had the inlet hose recall taken care of and it was in need of realignmnent.
It was taken car of at no charge. The wheel should be almost perfectly centered!

:x :x :x :x Got the car back, new tires...parked in the driveway where I always park...wife promptly backe the Grand Cherokee into my front bumper. Now I have a cracked left front headlite cover and a 2 inch hole from the trailer hitch ball.....
Just remember......
She is your wife and you really love her!!!!!
Stay away from all sharp, blunt objects and lock up any firearms you may own for at least the next month......
It is only a $500 deductible, and now she will owe you big time!!!!! You can play this one for at least a year.

Hi guys,
I think I'm still on topic here...
As far as alignment goes, does your steering wheel seem to have about two inches of "looseness" when you are parking the car and turning the wheel. When I wait for my garage door to open and move my steering wheel when the car is stopped it can be rocked effort-lessly left and right about two inches. Normal?

Not in mine....but I would verify play by having a second person place a hand on the front wheel and tell you as soon as they detect motion....this would determine if you just have too much upper arm strength or a little too much boost in your steering.
