Default Light Bulb Listlisness

I just had that light bulb idiot light come on for the sixth time in thirty months w/30k on car (this time right brake light). A minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. '07 MKX w/90k has had one replacement in 84k miles. '08 Focusw/39k miles, no replacements, and '08 Yaris w/40k miles no replacements. They're just light bulbs. What's going on here. To her credit, my wife says stiffer suspension shaking elements apart. Any thoughts?

Driving a MK X? So so.
Driving a Focus? Hmmmmm.
Driving a Yaris? Blaaaa!
Driving a Crossfire with too many bulb changes? Forget about it. Sell.

I have never really thought about it that much, but what your wife"s suggest , makes a lot of sense, I also

have a yaris 70t miles a fiesta 40,000, xb 80t miles no blub replacement, srt 6 had to replace rear brake light

holder and blub. Our company van, pickups also go thur rear blubs

regularly, stiff ride makes sense Now the srt6 i drive 90% at highway speed on decent pavement

My car did about 23,000 miles and I changed two headlight bulbs that went within two weeks of one another. The car had DTRL's which meant all front, rear and side lights (except high beams of course) were on 100% of the time when in gear.

Maybe you are just unlucky, or maybe if you changed the same bulb more than once it is because the bulbs were sub standard in quality.

For onehundredeighty, I have three kids between 18-23, and they are spoiled. That's the Yaris and the Focus. MKX is wifes. Xfire is my daily driver. Other cars are Sunbeam Tiger, Jensen Healey, and 1970 Eurospec 300 SEL w/29k original miles. The kids are not allowed to driive the others (and two seem incapable of learning to dirve a manua anyway).

Just to put my two cents to this discussion - I have a 1994 Ford Explorer with 178,000 miles - I've replaced: 1 headlight (ds), 2 tail/brake light ( 1ds, 1ps) and 3, third brakelights....
