Default Car Will Not Start - Any ideas?

I have a 2007 crossfire coupe with 13K miles and it has been sitting in the driveway for the last 3 weeks. Today when I tried to start it it would not start, only the lights on the instrument panel came on and I could hear a "fan" sound when I turned the key however car would just crank and not start. Any ideas on what it could be. Low battery?

Use the search feature and look up crankshaft position sensor. There's a wealth of knowledge on this subject and it a relatively easy job with the right tools.

Do you have an obd scanner or acsess to one? "Should" have thrown a check engine light with a code to verify . Advanced Auto ($58 I think) has a life time warranty on their part.. but Bosch is the most dependable replacement. Cost less than the AA part on ebay if you can waite. Just replaced mine in a parking lot Monday evening after ordering one off Ebay Monday afternoon. Seems the code was 0335 or close to that. You can do a search on the forum to confirm.

Not enough info to help with a diagnosis. Is it cranking at all? Or are the lights etc. coming on and not cranking at all. It could just be the battery. It could be the starter. It could be lots of things but we need more info to help.

Disconnect the battery cable, leave it off for about 15min. to reset the computer, reconnect the cable, and try that. Good luck.

dose motor make clicking sounds as you hold the key in the start possition or just one click then noting? if so chances are is that it is your starter. you are not giving enough info

Seems the answer to some of these questions were easy to see in the OP's post.

And so, we have yet another battery healthy enough to turn the engine over ... and yet not start it.

Reading stuff like this (and the weird thing that my Durango did) are why I always ask about the age of the battery.
