Pulled over by Police
So, I'm driving home getting off work. When im going to turn the corner, I see a police cruiser sitting in the median. I put on my turn signal and turn the corner. Before I could get in my driveway I see the police behind me with the lights flashing and I pull over in front of my house. I put my window down as he asks for my drivers license. I ask what's him what's going on. He says my turn signal in the back is the wrong color. He says Texas law states it should be white and mine is not. I told him these are stock lights and not modified. So I ask him if we can go check it out so I can see as well. I put on my turn signal and proceed to the back of my car and sure enough the bulb is an orange color. His partner runs my license that I gave them and it comes back clean, of course and gives it back to me. Anyhow, he says they are not making a big deal but this is the law. I tell him maybe I'll get the lens painted or something just to get him off my back. We finally part ways and I go without a ticket. Then I pull into the driveway and check out the orange bulb again in disbelief. Well, this is what I just went through and was wondering if anything like this has happened to anyone else. Thanks, I just wanted to share this as it just happened.
I've never heard of a turn seignal being white, it's always been amber. If it was white, how would it be discernable between the reverse lights?
I'm calling BS on the cop.
EDIT: From the Texas Transportation Code.

Easy now with the jerks compliment. We never forget. Yep, something is up kid...they just wanted to know who you were for some reason. Your turn signals are fine. Pretty much uniform traffic code in all states. Watch your back...you have a "standout" car.... so for some reason, they were interested in you...or the car....
True. Its not you. Its the car. They needed a reason to pull you over so they can take a closer look. They probably never saw one before and had a bet between themselves on the maker of car. Heres the cops conversation...Is that a Porche? No I think its a that new VW Ive heard about. What is that? Lets pull it over and find out....winner buys the donuts!
Oh yeah sure! It's not as simple as that if you knew what you were talking about. Why don't you go look at the assembly first then comment. Thanks.
Well, on my way home all I listen too is am talk radio. I was listening to the sports station. Damn, Dwight Howard went to L.A. Lakers and Andrew Bynum went to Philly. I hoped The Rockets would have gotten A. Bynum. This sucks!!!!!
Anyway, thanks everyone for the support and funny comments.
