I can honestly say every time I've been pulled over, the cop had a reason.

(Even the time they pulled my MOM over - I was in the passenger side and about 14 years old.
The cop walked up and said something, leaned over to see me - and said, "Sorry ma'am, I thought your passenger there was someone else".)

If ya come to the Dragon this fall, you can watch a video of me being pulled over for 74 in a 55 - and talking my way out of it in one minute and 40 seconds! Attitude is EVERYTHING, guys. You can **** off a cop - and you can charm them, too

(I keep TELLING the boss to not worry about me - I know how to talk to people, given the right circumstances....)

Well 2 things...

1. you have a loud color/graphic combination and your new exhaust mod might be getting you the unwanted attention
2. I just got chrome amber bulbs for my turn signals to get rid of the orange hue that the amber bulb gives off... I think this is your opportunity to get white bulbs!

no, let me be clear, the police stop was for the rear tail lights not the front. He said the rear only was the problem not the fronts.

Why are you taking this personally? I didn't call you a jerk. However...getting all defensive because I called the cops that pulled the other guy over "jerks" isn't helping your case. I know all cops stick together and that's great for you. But don't get your panties in a wad because I disagree with a cop pulling someone over and claiming that the state law requires "white" turn signals in the rear of the car just because they couldn't justify the stop any other way.

And making e-threats doesn't make you a tough guy. Get over yourself.

Yep... seconded. As far as I'm concerned, that's just the type of B.S. that makes good cops look bad.

Years ago, I had a similar situation out in St. Charles, Missouri, when I was driving a new Trans-Am. The cop pulled me over after I drove away from a traffic light. I couldn't figure out what the heck he was pulling me over for. He comes up and says, "Yeah... You were driving away from that green light a little bit fast, there. I recognize that exhaust sound anywhere!" Proceeds to look around my car a bit and tells me he was just going to let me go with a warning. Whatever, guy ....

Something similar happened to me. I pulled away after coming to a complete stop at a stop sign and got pulled over. Cop says I "advanced too quickly". Although I was far under the speed limit I guess there is an unwritten law about how gradually you are supposed to get up to speed after clearing a stop sign or in your case, pulling away from a traffic light.

Well, I read through the State Laws concerning Turn Signals and the amber color which I had is legal. I think yall are right and they just wanted to check to see if I was drunk or just run my license to see if I had any warrants. To add to this story, that same night five minutes later when I pulled into the driveway and was inspecting my turn signal tail lights I saw the same Police cruiser with their spot light on shineing at another vehicle to pull them over as they were following behind them. They were just harrasing drivers that night. I actually expected them the next night and I would be ready to show them the State Laws concerning Turn Signals as I printed them that day.

We should all meet up at the next Houston Coffee and Cars and compare turn signals...and then go check out the McLarens.

In Maine, you can be pulled over for "accelerating with intent to speed" lol

Don't get me wrong, I love Maine. But there are some strange birds up there. I remember one time I was up there doing an installation of a plotter and the dealer rep saw my car and promptly said " that's not the right kind of car for around these parts". ( in his best Mainer accent of course)

No, I am strictly a two dimensional guy. Just black and white for construction documents.
