Default Door Chime

I just finished the sticky key fix yesterday and after completed with the door open and the key in the ignition it does not chime and I can't remember if it chimed prior to the fix. This is my question is the Crossfire supposed to chime with the key in the ignition and the door open or is there no chime at all? The next time you're at your car could somebody please check. Thanks, Pat

Maybe you damaged the micro switch that tells the BCM there is a key inserted. Lucky you, I hate that chime.

Ed: I am only marginally mechanically competent, and I did the fix in 90 minutes. IT's not bad at all, just follow the instructions in the tutorial here and try to attempt the job when others are going to be online in case you need help!

I found a medium size pair of vice grips to be essential in working the assembly out of place and back into place after the mod. I had to go buy a pair during the fix, even!

It's really not that bad, usually, if you attempt the repair BEFORE it locks up and you need to drill that damn pin out!
