Free sprint booster??
Hi, I am a 57 old male living in BC Canada who bought a limited 06 blaze red coupe *6 speed *3 weeks ago. *She only has 10 thousand miles on it and is absolutely *pristine. *
. When I was younger I owned a 70 Boss Mustang , a 70 GTO Judge and *a 78 *triumph TR8.
But I can tell you that I have never had such a beautiful looking car. Like most guys i am interested in doing most repairs myself, and I have found the Crossfire forum to be quite informative.*
Question for you guys - *instead of resetting*your throttle position sensor by putting your foot to the floor what would happen if you depressed the pedal only 80% , would that fool the computer into thinking that at 80% you had WOT?*
cheers Mongoose57

Thought had crossed my mind before.. tried it.. felt like the car decided I didn't do a proper reset.. LOL.
Mileage may vary so feel free to experiment on your own..

That's why they're called computers.
Actually you do have a good idea but I don't think it'll work...

Other members have tried everything from what you are proposing all the way through putting stacked quarters or something similar on the throttle switch to make it see WOT faster, to the best of my knowledge, none but the SB actually work.
It does not add power, but I would HIGHLY suggest to anyone looking to get the most from their cars. I have the selectable one and have had others drive the car and I will go from off, to first setting, and they are shocked, then the second setting (what I normally drive with) and they are even more surprised, just a lot better throttle response...

You know I hate reading posts like yours BoilerUp...
waiting for turbo to see daylight, doing a cold air is not an option, modifying my muffler is not an option, and this is the one thing I can do to add a little more fun to driving.. Your going to talk me into spending the money on one.. LOL
And I know I could add CAI and sell for a minimal loss, just not my favorite rodeo to be in..

The CAI and tune would be my first options, but obviously not if the end game was FI, as I see you are going. The SB is pricey, especially for what it does, but no one else makes one and they really do improve throttle response.
I first was a non-believer and Tom lent me his to use while his car was in winter storage, I was hooked and didn;t want to give it back. It was an older style, single setting, always on model. The adjustable is great, anyone who has feeling in their body can tell the difference between on and the first setting, much less the last two. One caveat, Max sold his because he was going through gas much quicker because it was more fun, that does not bother me as I believe it is what you are supposed to do with a pseudo-sports car
I love burning gas...

To the best of my knowledge, he sold it, but I am not 100%
