Question Port and Polish

So, this is my first post even though I've been a member for a little while. I have been wondering has anyone asked or had thought about porting the heads, manifolds, or even boring the motor???

My thoughts were as much as people mention the complexity of this car...I mean it is still an engine that can be modded with a little ingenuity and a good shop. I once contacted a machine shop that specialized in this, and he never seen a crossfire let alone new how it was setup...he said it could be done just as long as the tools could fit!

A great way to transform an M112 engine into roughly 300 pounds of scrap aluminum magnesium alloy. Just sayin

Talking Re: Port and Polish

I have done the T/B, its base, the s/c inlet, and the intake manifolds - head gasket interface and the wye pipe to reduce turbulence, restriction, etc.

These are easy and dont require pulling the motor down, all helps.Woody

Chech with Rob at Needswings about the heads, I think he has them listed on his site.

if i remember right the startech was crazy expensive and didn't even put much better numbers down, could have something to do with how europeans measure their 0-60, its not the first time ive seen cars that are "faster" over here perform poorly when they test them (they must launch conservatively or be in high altitudes)

I'm sure they charged quite a premium, I wonder what the costs would be from an independent shop would be.. Realistically there isn't much else that hasn't been done
