Default noticed some popping noise

Recently I have noticed some slight popping noises from my XF when I go over bumps at slow speeds. Has anyone else experienced this and could it be rubber bushings on the suspension?

You baby your car too much, take the bubble wrap of it when you take the car out.

I've read a few occasions of the sway bar mount being broke and producing "popping" noises.. think it cracks loose at the frame..

A popping noise is a pretty general explanation of the problem. Can you be more specific? This could be many things. On a turn, straight driving, front or rear noise etc.. That would probably be of more help in the diagnosis. A check of the sway bar bushings as suggested would also be a good idea.

My point exactly, a popping noise, what is that exactly?

Perhaps I was not descriptive enough with my question The noise seems to be coming from the underside rear of the car. It may be best described as being a combination of a pop, and a creek. Have heard it both while traveling straight and turning at low speed 20 MPH or less. It may be happening at higher speeds but other road noise may be masking it.

^^^^^^^ Check/lube the sway bar bushings ....

( squirt 'em with some wd40 - if that helps, think about replacing them )

Now we are talking about a whole new ball game here. We know it is in the location of the rear of the car. A suggestion would be to check the torque on the rear control arms. JMO

No, no. I was agreeing with your post, sayin look above to your post and asking(?) if he understood what you just posted!

I tried to find the link you just posted...I was spelling Rebcah's name wrong. I knew I had just read that thread this weekend!

It's all good.

Read, learn, sometimes share what you have learned.. My primary reason for being here. Doesn't always quite work out that way though.

Need a link for cheap ebay OEM filters?
