Default Coupe Headliner

If this has been discussed elsewhere, point me in that direction. I've run a few searches, but found zip.

Anyway - Problem is my headliner is falling down! Specifically, the cloth portion that you can see and touch has detached itself from the hard part of the headliner. My car is an 05, with 40k on it. It is garage kept, and is mostly a weekend getaway car.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, what is the best approach to fix it? Right now, I have staples holding the fabric up so that it doesn't rest on my head .

I've taken it to a couple of upholstery shops and they don't want to touch it - as they have no experience with Crossfires (surprise). One did say if I got the had part of headliner out of the car, they would replace the material. Not really looking forward to this at all.

Thanks for the tip - not using the correct search terms I guess as I didn't see any of those links.

When I did the search, I just typed fallen headliner. Mine fell about 2 years ago, the upholstery shop had no problem fixing it.

Much like the rear windows falling out on the roadsters, I wonder how much "heat" has to do with the headliners falling on the coupes?
Besides it happening in cars in warmer climates, I wonder if more headliners fall in cars with darker paint colors?

Good info guys - We're kind of out in the sticks here, and the options for upholstery work are limited. The guys I've talked to were very picky about what they would work on. Would prefer paying someone to doing it myself as I am not as limber as I used to be - and it seems that taking the headliner out would involve a bit of contortion.

While my car stays in the garage most of the time, it obviously gets out in the sun - and it is black. However, they must have crappy glue or foam or whatever for it to fall down that soon. My 2001 F350 duallie has never been parked inside since I bought it new. Headliner is still good. Hmm - but it is white. Hmm. Might be a real connection afterall.

I Googled upholstery shops in Williamston, SC, this what I came up with:

Radical Changes 864-847-5475
Addis Auto Upholstery 864-225-2644
Harold Pittman's Trim 864-845-7371

In Anderson, SC:

Dan Burris Upholstery 864-226-1494
Anderson Auto Interiors 864-226-9094
Rays Auto Upholstery 864-224-6311

In Greenville, SC :

There are several, you'll have to look them up

See, you are not that far in the sticks.
