Unhappy Starting issues and key fob?

Key fob would not unlock the car this morning, so I had to do it manually. Once inside the car I started it right up and it died. Started again, no problem, and it died. Now it will not start at all. All electronics work (lights, radio, buzzers, etc.). Even had my wife bring me the other key fob to no avail. I have no choice now, but to get it towed. Help!

Crankshaft Position Sensor

Search within this forum for the above phrase. There are several post that describe the behavior you are describing.

Just here to learn and share what I learn.. makes life easier if I don't have to search it out for someone.. and keeps from posting "use search".. lol. 50 pages pull up and your trying to fix a problem..not spend a day with in depth reading.. LOL

Was it a coincidence that the fob would not work, Hmm.
Maybe not.
If these symptoms are linked then the problem may lie in the security system.

Does the second fob open the door?

Have you got water in the trunk? That would be in the passenger side well under the Styrofoam block.

Ahh... I read right past that "two starts and nada".. Disconnect battery..reconnect and try again..two more attempts and nothing.. then here we go time.. There's a rubber plug on the bottom of the car..rear of passenger location (under the styrofoam blocks mentioned).. "puncture" it and see if you get any water out of it.. The easy way to see if you have standing water right quick..
