Default performance isues

Hey There,

Need opinion:

From a stop I accelerate and the engine starts missing until I put it into neutral hit the gas and then it will respond. Doesn't occur all the time. Thought it was some bad gas but thats not it. Some one mentioned that the the Throttle body needs to be cleaned, but car has 22,00 miles. Circa 2005.

Also, is there someting that can be purchased reasonably that will give the car much better pick up from a stop. From about 40mph it is responsive but from a dead stop it sucks.

74MM throttle body and the Eurocharge Tune (special thread - sale now) won't hurt a bit..about an extra 30HP...

Sprint booster will give it a better feel from the pedal.. doesn't add anything though.. The tune is supposed to help in this area also..

Edit: "if" it was me and I had an extra $300 I could spend ... be all over the sale.. (and I am already.. LOL)

EDit: Edit: While I've got the thread open already..

Edit: Edit: Edit: You do know about "throttle reset" right? If not do a search - several threads with sequence... easy to do.

I do a throttle reset each month..... its like getting a new engine....
The reset brings the throttle movement into proportional ratio with butterfly opening.

The Car learns how you drive, and very gently dampens the early part of the throttle pedal movement... because we are all OLD ha ha... and drive like our Grandparents do :-)

With the reset done each month, it gives it some ZAP.... easy to do, and literally is a 2 minute process.

Regards to all

And if you've never done it.. and the battery hasn't been disconnected (results in a reset) .. you'll be pleasantly surprised..

Sounds good, but does dissconnecting the battery result in any other stuff to re-do, like, do the windows need resetting for end-stops, or stereo need resetting/coding ?

Another question ???
My elec windows... with a hard momentary button push, they go all the way down on their own - but not up.... gotta keep my finger on the button - is this normal ?

Window is working normal.. that way you can't auto close someones head in it.. LOL.

And yes typically you would have to reset stereo and clock.. and seatbelt chime mod sequence if you've done it..

Battery was thrown in just in case it has been disconnected anytime recently, as the throttle reset won't be as impressive as the first time I ever did it..LOL.

Ha Ha, I'd gladly chop off my ex-wife's head in it, or maybe some has some plans for a propper guillotine, so I don't get her gooey slime blood on my lovely car ??

Can we say things like this here or could it be taken as a threat or something and reported?
