I think we have threads here that detail the removal of most parts of these dash components and console.
I'll add some links, better yet go to the link below and look under the Interior and Doors sections.

Conversely does this mean in a pinch we could use 3M paint stripper for brake fluid? Just kidding. You did a great job as it is, looks like factory. You might do even better on your next one. LOL

I would say everything I needed came from this forum!
Any chance you could post a link to the video either on here or PM? I can't seem to find it and am about to tackle a similar project.

Thank you!

Sure thing! Here it is: SLK Home Page

Click on Disassembly, then Dashboard & Center Console. The only thing I found to be pain was the connectors on the back of the button "bar" below the A/C controls. Just watch the little video and follow the instructions and you will get it. If something seems as though it will not come out, make sure you have removed all of the screws before you use too much force and break the plastic. There are a couple of screws here and there that are a little hard to find - unless you read the instructions from the web site.

FOR THE RECORD - I DID NOT REMOVE THE GAUGE CLUSTER AS THEY DO ON THE SLK SITE - DIDN'T NEED TO.

Thanks to everyone for their support and compliments!!

It is funny when you run into comments like Pizzas one here, the guy sold the car 9 months later.
Some people say the car is a keeper then suddenly the car is gone and so are they.

For the record, I don't think I ever said the car was a keeper.

(Nothing like resurrecting old threads. ) And email alerts to keep you coming back.

If you read the comment you will see that I say 'some people', not you. It is amazing how something is read in two separate sentences and then taken as a whole.
Not everything is about you, there are other people on this forum and they have been around here more than nine months, you where just a passing shadow.

I read the message the way you wrote it. I didn't take offense, just thought it was humorous. Lighten up. Go out and enjoy your Crossfire.

Passing Shadow, signing off.

Results speak for themselves. Really a "factory fresh" looking interior. New owner got a sweet deal.

She'll be done one of these days, then I will happily share some photos. Right now I am concentrating on designing the home Molly and I are going to build, plenty of room for cars, hell, I think I could even fit Crispy's collection in there when its done
