Were Number 8!!
I wonder what sales volume Chrysler's buisness plan for the CF anticipated.
I recall that the mags commented on the old SLK's antiquated recirculating-ball steering but not any of the other "faults" mentioned in this evaluation.

Well, I DID agree with their "#1" choice!
Well that retro T-Bird was just butt ugly. I'm surprised they out sold the Crossfire. But then it cost much less than the Xfire and Ford promoted it.
Now the SSR was cool. I never thought Chevy anticipated it to be a big seller. Just something to promote the brand and get people talking about Chevy...much like the Prowler.

How does a car with a slow responding, antiquated, rec-ball steering go thru a slalom faster than a mid-engine Ford GT?
I know we are in good company if the Caddy XLR is on the list. My uncle has one of these and it is by far my most favorite Caddy. I can still blow my uncle off the road though with my '6.
Yeah, that was my thought too when I saw the XLR on the list. I remember years ago when a Xfire owner posted that traded his Xfire for a XLR. I wonder what he thinks about owning two cars that made the list??

Where they see failures I see unique rides today and classics and collectables 30 years down the road. Of course since it was a list of perceived failures they are going to point out perceived problems and short comings.
I talked to a guy with the Chevy SSR at a show last weekend. We were talking about parts availability and it sounds like they have it a lot worse than we do. According to him most of the SSR's that were sold became garage queens so the pool of wrecked parts cars is very shallow. He also said that GM has pretty much abandoned SSR owers.
