Default Crossfire Service

Hello desperate to find someone who knows something about Crossfire repair ECM. All began with ignition lockout and chrysler replacing the lock cylinder housing. I know "sticky fiX" but not an option at the time. Following this Car would not start. replaced transponder ring. Would not start. Now its the skeem and the ECM. Pluse require a lock out kit. almost $4K total. Tried to follow various threads here but they all fall off with no resolution posted. Am looking into Beckmann Technologies unlocking the ECM yes dealer locked it up. Can anyone advise on a reputable service provider near London Ontario? Help!!

Sorry, I don't know about London area. The only Chrysler dealer I have found in the Hamilton /Niagara area with a certified Crossfire tech is Performance Chrysler in St Catharines.....Most Chrysler dealers don't want to see Crossfires for service unless it's for an oil change

I am not a believer in coincidences like this happening.
There is a simple, cheap and efficient way to correct your initial problem, you chose to ignore it and you chose not to show the dealer or whoever a printed copy of the repair. You replaced the part that you were told not to bother to replace, now after replacing a part that could have only been damaged by the mechanic doing the repair they want to replace the SKREEM, ECM and whatever is meant by the lock out kit.
If the dealer attempted to start the car and got locked out it is their problem, they should know better, get a Chrysler factory rep to look into the problem.
Where is the car now?
These people have eyes on your wallet.
Keep all your posts in one thread, the story gets a bit disjointed going to a new thread each time.

It "didn't work" because they did not listen. Dealers NEVER listen.

Your car was fine, you took it to them to get the stuck key fixed and they $*%**$# it up!
Now they expect YOU to pay for their screw up? 180 is right, time to get Chrysler involved. This is B.S.

I do NOT see how they could turn such a simple fix into a nightmare - but we have seen this time and time again on this board.
I keep saying it - DO NOT TAKE THESE CARS TO A CHRYSLER DEALER, if you can't fix it yourself (and many of us can't) then take it to a local, independant shop that works on Mercedes products. This has worked well for me on two occasions.

I know it's too late for you this time, but maybe if I keep saying it, it'll save SOMEONE out there from the same nightmare.

Tells us about it - we try and try to help people, but many never come back to tell us how it went or what happened...

I was looking to help, but I do not expect such comments when I mention something that could have been done and then get told you did it. You specifically stated that the sticky fix was not an option at the time and did not say that the dealer had been supplied with a print out of the fix.

Without giving the full details you can expect such erroneous comments.

Good luck, you'll need it.

I thought you said London area. I have had no problems with the 2 Dealers in London that have done some work and know of people who have dealt with the other ones,so I was surpassed to hear of your situation. How ever if it was running when you took the car too them and it will not run now I guess THEY have a problem. It was a simple problem to solve . Best of luck. Lorne
