Just drove the crossfire again in the same spot today. I did 100 mph. Not as fast but still over the limit. I only do it for a few seconds and then back down. I don't drive the car as often so I will agree with everyone here... It feels great to drive. I realized today that 6th gear sucks! That is the reason why I lost to a gt. if I kept it in 5th I would have put up a good fight.

Be careful, even if you downshifted to 4th, a new GT mustang has over 400HP stock and would absolutely embarrass your NA

If you don't see the badges.. that throaty "Wanna Play?" exhaust note should be warning enough! LOL.

Them things just sound evil - wicked - mean - and nasty! Been beside a couple of them.. NOT a Ford guy by any means.. but those would be tempting.. LOL

Ya the new Rustang are pretty fast ! no way that Na will every take one at any speed ! Now THE SRT6 is another story , Just be safe out there , The one thing about the crossfire is they do run very smooth at those speeds ,

For once, I have to agree with you. Not generally a fan, but very impressed by the new GT and that OEM exhaust note is pure awesome.

Vs a new 5.0? SRT makes it easy!

Good race, but the 6 got beat by .006 of a second (I know, splitting hairs, but still...)

Here's the time slip - the 6 is car 148:

That said, for a totally stock, 8 year old ride to run a 12.8XX on street tires - pretty sweet!!

Also - gotta give props for doing it at a strip....right?

Even though it's not all about HP - the stock N/A has about 1 HP for every 14 pounds of vehicle (the SRT is about 1 for 9). Wiki is your friend when sizing up your opponent as it will tell you how much a car weighs and its approximate HP. That'll give you an idea if all factors are the same...but the you need to figure in torque, reaction time, mods, driver skill and so on.

I lost a race today with a Mustang GT. We were on a 45 mph speed limit road, he was coming up fast, so I pulled over to let him pass. He had to be doing at least 50 mph. We were running side by side for a second but he pulled ahead. Nah, it didn't happen.
