where do i plug in the transponder ring

Cool where do i plug in the transponder ring

Hello ppl, I like everyone else it seams have had to replace my ignition. However the security ring that goes around the key, I think it's called the transponder ring or skreem, and if that's not ironic haha, but it came unplugged. I don't know where it needs to be plugged in at. PLEASE HELP ME thanks, Jon

Oh boy.. haven't been there and done that.. but there is another thread on this where the actual location is shown from the service manual. You guys are going to make me nervous when I finally decide to do mine.. LOL. I don't have a link handy but it's been within the last 2 months if you use the search feature or download the service manual.

Okay as noted in the link above.. it's pretty much behind the speedo and maybe this will help out too..

Hey thanks Mrmiata, I'm about to start the search, that's a big help. I've been trying to find the location and the most I have found was that it goes behind the speedo close to the dash pad. I really appreciate the diagram. I'll let you know how it goes. I already have the bottom of the dash apart I guess I'll start today by removing the instrument cluster

I removed the instrument cluster and that diagram then made perfect sense. It was right there behind the speedo. I plugged connecter in and the car started right up.
