how can you open the hood when car has no power. can pull release latch but nothing happens.

 

Don't need power. Have someone lift up on the hood at the same time as you pull the release. May just need some lube on the latch mechanism. Or your cable has snapped. Good luck.

 

I have found that hitting the hood with my fist while someone is pulling the handle can free it up.

(Never happend to my Xfire, cause I keep the latch lightly oiled - but lubing that latch is often forgotten by car owners and they end up with a sticky hood latch.
I HOPE your cable isn't broken.)

 

got it open, needed someone to pull cable as I pushed on hood. Now can look into the alarm and no start issue. see other post
