Cool Dog Hair

I tried getting my dog hair out of my trunk and cannot seem to get it out, thanks to my roomate who will not be driving my car anymore. Any ideas? I specifically told him not to have the dog in the car, and now im pissed.

I use the vacuum powered spinning brush attachment that came with my Dyson on the Suburban carpets, does a nice job.

$17 for this one, not bad price .....

I misread your post at first, I thought you asked how to get dog hair out of your trunks. I was not going to ask though.

Here in 'Bama it's dogs in the front of the pickup, girl friends ( and wives ) ride in the back on that old couch you were gonna throw away .....

( if it were the other way around, the dogs might jump out at speed, and we all know how hard a good dog is to find )

When I bought my Crossfire, the previous owner had put his German Shepherd in it all the time. There was fur everywhere. Try some Turtle Wax Upholstery Cleaner. It didn't get all the fur, but most of it came out. With a few treatments I'm sure you could get it out of the carpet.

Try an old fashion sticky lint brush or wrap packing tape backwards around your hand and just roll it around the trunk.

Take a new, clean microfiber towel and fold it in quarters. Get one side slightly damp and use that in a wiping motion over the carpet and it should pick up the majority of the dog hair. If that doesn't get it all, look for a pet hair removal brush in your local auto parts store - it should have fairly thick, soft rubber "bristles" that will pull up the hair.

Knowing the previous owner of my SRT was a dog owner, I was surprised that the hair wasn't really a problem (couple good vacs and it was gone) - but the smell - wow! - just seemed to get worse the more we drove it.
It wasn't so obvious when I bought it because the owner had kept his furniture restoration kit in the back (alongside the dog) but the odour of wax polish & turps gradually gave way to that of stale damp dog - and it got stronger every time we used it. All the pet smell treatments we tried didn't help much - then, come service time, the cabin filters were changed and hey presto - fresh air!
So, if your car's a bit stinky - first check when the filters were last changed...
