Front to rear hatch divider(behind the seat)
What is this called so I can further do some searching? Or if anyone has a qucik link on how to open it up. I want to take it apart in the future to possibly add different subs. I have searched the audio section and found pages of irrelevant info into a dismantle. Thanks in advance!

This bulkhead supplies rigidity to the chassis.
Aaaahhh! SMH Guess I wont be able to increase the depth or build a box in it. LOL!
l took the top 6 inchesish off to allow the seat to recline further. It does not go all of the way across so not structural (suspect it iwas a attachment bar for the SLK retractable mechanism that was never removed.
In any event removing the top 4" (down to the second horizontal) allowed my seat to go back an inch farther when reclined.

My dreams of building a box in that are squashed!
180's pics are the best I've seen but here is what the seat looks like installed (I didn't remove the seats just moved forward and out of the way, also just modified behind the driver's seat, that is a nice and complete job. I would remove the rear wall down to that level if going that far. You do not have a tonneau that needs to register on it.
Note: the seat rails were also raised 1/2" (if the wheel don't tilt...)

That's what I meant, your picture shows the bar very nicely removed (can see the shart/shiny edges on the passenger side and shows where the original bar was.
The picture below shows the edge of the removed box section looking back from the driver's window (and what I removed).

As you can see, the beam stops well short of the side of the car and adds little to any torsional stiffness.

Should be some way to use that for a cold air intake, or for a rear turbo ( which I guess is impossible )
This may make the difference clearer and show how far down it can be cut. Note where the speaker hole is in each. OTOH it almost looks like the stampings are reversed. Curious.
