Default Best way to get the most HP out of crossfire limited!?!?!

Okay so what is basically the best to get the most HP out of the base model crossfires? Because I do know there isn't to much you can do in terms of mods, only a handful really, the SRT6 version has endless possibilities. So far on my Crossfire I have the Euro Charged Tune and the Magnaflow Exhaust. Im still working on getting the Needswings Dual CAI, but what after that? Does the 74mm Throttle Body do anything? I know my best bet would have been to just look for the SRT6 but that wasn't an option, and I also know that no matter what a limited crossfire will never get up to the stock HP as an SRT6, but what can I do to increase it more and as much as I can besides the few mods I said? Any help would be much appreciated.

The CAI and 74mm are about all that's left. A few have tried underdrive pulley sets, but I've never seen any dyno evidence to support them.
Overall your best bet ( if you have the budget ) is a V8 swap.
Contact sk8erjosh09 if you have interest in that.

looks like you done about all you can do , the next step would be to put it on a dyno and have it dialed in , the best you're going to get out of its probably about 260 horsepower with all the mods that you can do

Get the single needswings intake, it makes a nice difference. The dual will be for looks.

I had a limited before the srt. I had an intake, injectors and a tune. It helped.

If I still had the limited I would probably look into nitrous.

I would not do a tune WITHOUT FIRST a CAI and Throttle upgrade, and maybe injectors - I don't believe MB "left that much off" the engine as-is.

Of course, there is the thing where this engine did 230 HP in the SLK320 and supposedly only 215 in the Crossfire; they either 'de-tuned' it OR the published numbers are not real.

I've done the tune and the Needswings DCAI.

I chose not to do the throttle. Very limited impact. Not sure how much the injectors addict as most say, you can only get this up to about 265up. Im aledgey at 255. Rate of return is limited now. Im happy with it. Ill buy an SRT next.

255? I would suspect many would doubt that.

Hmm.. okay somebody explain to me how bigger injectors are going to increase power if your not already modified enough to be making stock system run lean. Never heard anyone complain "my intake and tune have me on the lean side". I'm not Einstein but things don't add up with that formula. Adding a bigger throttle body and increasing air intake.. those numbers add up in my feeble mind.

I understand that Doc.. but if your not pushing the lean side with stock injectors..?? And like I stated.. a tune and intake doesn't send you to the lean end of the scale.

You can doubt it all you want. I just added the needswings numbers and the eurochage tune numbers....215 + 24 + 16= 255. What it is in reality, who knows. All I can tell you is its way better and more responsive than stock. Seat of the pants I'd say it feels close. But who cares. I dont track it or drag it. I just have fun with it.

Throttle body, yes, better intake yes, injectors, no. They are not operating at anywhere near capacity, so if the engine needs more fuel the computer will make adjustments. My SRT6 with a stacked pulley setup, SL55 pump and AE regulator didn't need bigger injectors. The numbers from our vendors are best case scenarios, you usually don't achieve the max estimated result but as long as it feels stronger and you are happy, the numbers don't mean anything.

Glad to see I make sense to someone.. LOL.. Torque Pro shows my long term fuel trims at +7 to +12 at max.. and as a foot note.. after the tune it showed +11HP at the wheels in a different power range. As far as the throttle body.. I know it makes a difference. I've seen a post or two claiming 8.. I have a tendency to believe that - as you can "seat of the pants" tell a difference. As I've noted before.. when you get used to the car and make that change.. it will put a little giggle back in your acceleration..

I usually think you make sense, one of the forum members I respect. I also think that we sometimes get too hung up on numbers. I have never dynoed the car and ran one and only one 1/4 and will never post the result but suffice it to say I was very happy with what it ran, it certainly surprised my friend with the Rousch Mustang, he has been eating much humble pie recently.
