check engine light

Default check engine light

stays on and dealer has not been able to find problem.

anyone have this problem car runs great .

Had this happen to me it was the O2 sensor which they replaced and the light went out

Check the gas cap. The dealership told me that 7 out of 10 "light on" problems are because it isn't on properly. This will trigger the light if it isn't sealing.

It took me 3 trips in to the dealer back in November to get the same problem fixed. It would go off and then come back on. But finally they did get it right. I know they spent a long time on the phone with the Tech division at Chrysler. Be persistent. Make them get it right.

I'm surprised they can't figure it out. When the Check Engine light comes on, it transmits a code to the computer.. your tech should download the code and know what's wrong... It's impossible to have the light come on without there being a code. You probably have the same thing I had, a misfire.. check the TSB in that section.
