6 Speed Probs (Of course)
Not sure really where to post this as I don't see a trans section.
I've done the normal searching and all I really see are issues with the infamous 1 2 shift, or the difficulty of getting into reverse when its cold.
Now I've got an odd one. Yes I understand its cold and the viscosity of the trans fluid is basically paste. But why would the car begin to creep forward when placed into gear at a stoplight with the clutch pedal fully depressed?
Noticed this after having some difficultly placing the trans into first. Literally slamming it into place (but no grinding or noise). Then I noticed the creeping forward part ( if my foot is off the brake and on level ground)
This may sound odd, but is there an adjustment for the slave cylinder? As in, are the eyelets of the mount slotted for adjustment? I know its hydraulic, so the pedal (or armature) has nothing. But it truly seems as if my clutch is not fully disengaging.
Let me know your thoughts or if I'm not seeing a section on this that has been covered. Kind of losing my mind here as the XFire only has 75K miles on it now.

arejohn ----- Roughly 3/4 maybe a little bit higher of the way up. Seems really high to me, but I also know that different manufactures have different pedal throws.
Speedy ---- Its not so much the getting it into gear that worries me, because I do know that the trans is finiky when cold. Its the creeping forward that bothers me.

Sounds like the clutch is not fully disengaging. Has the pedal got heavy recently? May need a new slave cylinder on hydraulic clutch assembly.
Speedy -- Like I said before, from floor to engagement is about 3/4 of the way up, maybe a little more. As for drive time, she is driven every day. Not to to much city, mostly highway 1 hour +.
Sparkie -- Thats where I'm leading to. Nothing pressure has changed for pedal movement. Have you ever heard of the slave bleeding off?
And it doesn't feel as if the pressure plate is failing or losing clamp load. I don't feel any chatter or intermittent pressure spikes, so I don't believe I have an warp-age.

I doubt you have ever changed the hyd. clutch fluid either. 10-11 year old car. I would start with a replacement and bleed.. Then check the slave while there.
Honestly, no. The past maintenance, I've done vehicles around 100K.
I know its an odd situation. Looks like the heated garage is calling my name.
Thanks guys, I'll update later.

So a little update.
I started doing some research because the fluid change accomplished nothing. Found out about the Reverse Lockout cable adjustment. 20 minutes to complete it, flawless gear engagement now.
Hopefully this helps anyone who hasn't tried or heard of it. World of difference, especially while banging through the gears. Thanks for the help though

Give me until tomorrow to post it. Tied up for the rest of the evening.
If you Google, Chrysler tool 9120. That's what you will be needing as well, average of $42 USD.
