Default Trunk Space...Important question

I'm renting a Crossfire this weekend and I have a super quick question. Can I safely put a 25 pound dog in the trunk? Like will she be able to see me and stuff like that? I've never seen the interior layout of the car and I need a quick answer.

Thanks for any input.

You can easilty fit her in the back I have an 85 pound golden retriever and he fits, however, i think it scares him to be back there because there is a rear wall that divides the seats with the hatch and he tries to climb to the front seat. This wall only leaves about a foot of space between the roof of the car. She probably won't be able to see you from the hatch if she is a small dog.

Thanks for the quick response. Regardless of how fond she is of being back there (usually she's pretty perfect in cars) I don't have to worry about her suffocating, right? There's enough room for her to breathe and it's not like locking a dog in a sedan trunk, right? It's not cruelly small?

The coupe is a hatch and I think you will be really surprised how big it is. The convertible has a really small trunk. So as long as you rent the coupe with the hatch you'll be fine.

The trunk is open into the passenger compartment (assuming you are talking about a coupe, don't get a roadster), so there is no danger of her suffocating. There just won't be much room for her to move around.

Thanks for the information. It's def. the coupe I'm getting (SRT-6). It's actually a road test for a local paper, but I thought it would make things easier if I said "rent." But I had a trip planned for this weekend and wanted to make sure my dog could come along.

Thanks again.

i think i've already decided that the dog will have to stay somewhere for the weekend. she may freak out in the trunk with only a small slab to look out of. i dont want a dog with cabin fever.

You can just fit a set of golf clubs in there, but not two sets!

How, I struggled getting mine in there alone. The woods were too long. I suppose if I took those out it would be ok.

Mine fits 2 also, it was a must before I bought the car. You just have to take out the woods and lay them on top.

I fit two bags, plus shoes and a bunch of other stuff. I stand them up. Then when the car starts moving the clubs slide over so I can see out the back. Has put a few scratches onto the top of the divider.

I have no problems fitting in my two, so you must have bigger bags than me! You aren't going to tell my wife are you?
