look under your hood
Today I have looked under my hood and find a big hole on the passenger side inner fender (see picture). Please look if you have the hole too or if it is closed and let me know. The problem is that a lot of dirt came through that hole under the hood. Thanks.
I put my Xfire on the lift and looked under it and was surprised with the quality. When the car was off the ground I noticed all four wheels maintained good alignment. My Corvette's rear wheels fold in at the bottom, which probably accounts for the fact that the Xfire handles better. I did find a couple of hoses or cables that were rubbing the frame probably not causing any problems but I moved them anyway because I too have a mysterious rattle in the back but minor at best. So far I haven't found anything missing like rubber plugs. I did order the service manual on CD which I hope explains a few mysteries that will crop up from time to time.
These plugs came with the car's original PDA kit. Its a package that comes in the car direct from factory and the dealer is supposed to install the items in the kit. Things like the 2 front plastic grilles below the bumper, the licence plate holders, wiper blades, floor mats and these 4 rubber plugs. Most dealers did not install these plugs, from what I gather from other posters. Mine were not installed, I found them in the glovebox, so installed them myself.
They are called "wheel arch liner plugs" if you need to tell your dealer what they are.

Can you tell me where you have install the plugs, because my dealer dont know these things. Maybe you can make me any pics for the places where the plugs are missing. Thank you very much for doing that.
If they haven't been installed, it will be very easy to find:
On the front, turn the wheel all the way to one side. Inside the wheel well, in front of the pivot point, you will see the hole. Do the same for the other side.
On the rear, you will need to lay on your back, right in front of the wheel (about 6cm) on the inboard side of the wheel, you will see the hole. I will try to get pictures for you.
