Default Tyres-How many miles do you get?

How many miles can I expect to get out of the tyres?
Front and rear.

Thanks.

Norrie.

Alot! I am at 26,000 miles and my tires are ready to be changed. I would say about 18,000 miles with the Michelin Pilot Sport 2.

I've got 16 on my Michelins and I don't think their anywhere near needing replacement. I have fun in my xfire so they are not babied at all, but neither are they beat up constantly.

Since my lease gives me a total of just under 50k miles, I figure I'll change them around 25k, that way I only need to do it once.

depends on your driving habits and other factors such as the inflation pressure of your tires, alignment, etc. if you have the continental all-season tires and drive very conservatively, 50,000 miles or more may be possible. likewise, the michelin PS2s can last more than 30,000 miles. if you drive aggressively (hard cornering, acceleration, and braking) you might get only half those figures. otherwise, you'll be somewhere in the middle.

I have 17,500 and still have well over half the tread left on PS2's.

BE very careful and always check you PSI's on your tires because if your rim gets damaged...good luck!

I checked mine today and my front tire was at 12 PSI. I amlost freaked out.

Here in Miami Beach, we have a lot of construction going on with new high rise bldgs and the road is really rough.

Check your tire pressure at least once a week.

Thats why we have TPMs (tire pressure monitors). They should go on below 24psi or so. I'm curious to why yours never went off. You should be freaking out! And taking the car into a dealer so they can fix yours.

To be honest with you, I saw the indicator light on but i thought it was saying that i need my car serviced but i then read the complete book and saw that it was my TPM and yes I freaked out at myself for not reading the complete book and also because it was soo low!

Thanks for the advice..and for all the new comers, read the book...lots of information!
