Default Control Box for the Locks has Been Wet / Help Please !

So the "6" I bought had issues, that is why I got it for 5k but its coming around. I found the "old" control box and all the plugs were dirty and you could see it had been wet. They had just replaced the unit but I noticed that it just sits there, held in place by nothing. When I make turns I sometimes hear it clicking but I believe its just moving some because it is not in the box I see others have. Seller had towels for it to sit on which I removed but my question is 2 fold, did the car come with a box/holder for the control box? Does anyone rebuild them? Might as well have it as a backup like my spare RCM. the foam cover fits over it so the holder must to close to the size of the box. Thanks for all the help you have given me, BEST Forum ever! Any Mods to do while back there other than get it in the box and fix my leaking wing?

I understand there are plastic plugs you can remove from the drain holes - I'd remove them.

As to 'rebuilding' or repair of water-damaged electronics - good luck with THAT bad idea. Go find a junked car with an UNDAMAGED module - THAT is your answer.
ONE MORE THING, if the connectors on the cables have corroded pins, you should cut off the last 2-4 feet of the wiring harness from the junked car as well - splice it on and get rid of your corroded connectors/pins.

I repaired electronics for a living from 1983 to recently, water damaged electronics, pins, connectors, etc. - are all junk. REPLACE them, with used parts if necessary, just REPLACE THEM.

Thanks Pizza Guy, I was wondering why the old unit had the plugs cut, now I know why Do you know if it came from the factory with some sort of "holder" to keep it still? I saw a white box in a pic that the controller was sitting in is why i ask.

Go to ebay and search Chrysler Crossfire Central Door Locking Pump. There are several pictures showing the foam container and the black pump itself. You will see for yourself what you are lacking on your car.
