The past few months my central locking has been playing up (due to water in the boot) now I am needing to open my boot to get to the central locking module. But I can’t get the boot open no release hatch from the inside, I can’t release the lock hatch from inside the left license plate light hole, the fob does nothing die to the central locking module most likely being under water.
does the method from inside the left license plate light work if the central locking is dead? If you manage to flick it up does it make a “click” sound if done correctly?.
Also is there a method to release the gas flap manually as I need to fill it up to actually make it to my mechanic if I can’t get any of this done ?
these problems are giving me hell
thanks in advance if anyone can save my sanity haha
photo above is take through the left license plate light socket where I am trying to move the lever with no success of opening the boot
this is the video I am using to guide me

Reason: Clarity
Solved. I needed to push the lever on the inside at the base of the pawl. Credit to :magredvet his pdf helped make sense of the mechanism. Now on top opening that gas flap

I am of the opinion that every wing mount on the Crossfire will leak. It is simply the nature of the way it was sealed at the factory. YOU already have water problems. Not only be certain the gas filling area is sealed, but remove the wing from the car and re-seal the mounting plate to the car. I used "Mortite" rope type caulk as it remains pliable for a long time and allows the mounting plate to be removed in the future should the need arise.
