TPMS light steady on
Here's a little different wrinkle on this thread: Driving along the other day in my '06 Limited coupe, minding my own business and the TPMS light comes on...I continue on home and let the car sit overnight, next morning I check the pressures and all are right on. Using a borrowed Autel TS408, I check the sensors and three are putting out no signal.
Hmmm. I think I'll just ignore the light and keep an extra eye on the pressures. Light says on for several days and today it goes out while driving. Get home and check the sensors with the Autel TS408 and all four are putting out a correct signal. I don't drive the car every day so this story spans a couple of weeks.
Any thoughts?

If the problem persists, (we know it will) I think I'll just deactivate the light as previously discussed. Instead of removing pin #2 from the connector and moving it to the empty hole in position #6, any reason not to just snip the #2 wire? To avoid an uh-oh, what color is the #2 wire?

To prolong my tale of woe, the light came on again shortly after my last post as I predicted, tester showed three sensors dead again, today the light went out after 2 months of being on...haven't scanned the sensors. Kinda nixes the "dying batteries" notion.
I'm beginning to believe in gremlins. Instead of deactivating the system, I'll ignore the light, as I've been doing, and will inform any future potential buyer of the anomaly.
BTW, I have access to an OTC Genisys EVO scanner, anybody have any experience with those on TPMS problems?
