Default Tokyo Motor Show Pics

Hello, Everyone.
As I may have mentioned, I was in Japan a week and a half ago on business. I got to Nagoya a full day before I had to be at the office, so I took the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Tokyo to attend the Tokyo Motor Show. Attached are pics that I took at the show.

I've got others, but I think I will stop now. No, I didn't photograph the new Evo, or some of the other big debuts, as there was a mob surrounding cars like that. And, I decided not to bore you with a lot of the concepts you've probably already seen in the magazines. I also didn't bother with the Toyota "concept" that somehow merges a chair with a Segway-type device, as it is utterly ridiculous and does not appeal at all to the hot blooded car enthusiast in me. Fuel cells, cars that run on hydrogen, and other environmentally friendly pipe dreams peppered the show, as did a fair amount of hybrid concepts and vehicles. None of which were as cool as the new Skyline.

It was also nice to see some of the brands not available in the US, such as Alfa, Citroen, and Renault, etc. The Alfas were gorgeous. The green Fiat Panda (in the photos above) was ghastly. Said Panda also had a lime green interior. It looked as if they killed Kermit and sewed him into a set of seats.

Next time I post motor show pics, it will be the Detroit show.

Hmmm... The lines on that Z4 coupe look oddly familiar...
