Default What happened to Crystal Guard?

Earlier this year I purchased Crystal Guard Sealant from Crossfire site. Now I need more and I'm having trouble ordering from Crystal guards site. Called the phone number listed on the site...it's disconnected. Does anyone know what's going on with Crystal Guard?

probably just another paint protection "get rich quick" company out of business...so they don't have to cover any warranty claims. this is normal.

Maybe...but their product was great, had Teflon before and it didn't shine as well.

Probably had Chrysler help with the product marketing.

I don't know about Crystal Guard but your probably 100% correct. And car dealers are good at trying to sell similar services and products for way too much $$$.

Does anybody remember the "Ming" auto paint protection sold by privately owned shops in California in the late 70's and early 80's? That was nothing more than a $200.00 high speed wax job.

Of course Teflon doesn't shine, why would it! That's the first sign of a "scam". My neighbor across the street has a friend that bought a brand new 300C, metallic black and here's what he ended up with. Some "paint protection" that's guaranteed for 5 years and cost him $300.00 to apply and get this, they told him if the water and/or shine doesn't look as good as it did the day it was done they'd "touch it up" for $100.00. What a rip off. I told him I could've detailed just the outside for $75.00 (wash, clay and sealant) and he could've come back to me the following year for a more extensive detailing that would've cost him about $150.00 and that would include everything! Well, you know what P.T. Barnum used to say...
