PS: what's her cell Phone # ?
Just kidding...
Here is a picture of my little girl, ain’t she cute? If any of you hot dogs dig her, and would like to meet a real woman, to ride around in your Crossfire. Let me know and I'll give you her cell phone number. I love my little girl so much, she use to be a cheerleader and then she moved off to college, now she is a major in physics. Big MONEY there guys.

Problem is Toyota doesn't make a sexy sports car.
I for one am happy to "pay to play".

I don’t really know the credibility or knowledge of the rep I spoke to at the auction. I far as I know could have been a DM employee or just some one with a weekend gig! To me like most of you, it does matter I bought the car because I like it!!! Forget about buying it for investment, I bought it for the fun of driving!!! Car collecting is a hobby for people who enjoy it and can afford it. I can’t afford to buy a 50 year old bus for 4 mil-plus.
What I don’t like is buying a car that the dealer has problems fixing with out breaking other stuff or installing more scratches then I care for.
I would think that if DM really wanted to help push the sales of the Crossfire that they could at least offer a model to the line up of "Cars to test drive" at the events they sponsor with the other models.
Was kind of disappointed that of the 3 Crossfires at the show, only one was a SRT6 roadster, the other 2 were '05 limited coupes.
Sorry for the venting, just gets me irked sometimes when I think I have to give my car to an idiot because of warranty issues!!!

You have the Mercedes shop as your second choice from the Chrysler dealership! They do offer excellent service to our crossfires.
If they discontinue the crossfire, we have Mercedes to back up our parts and service.

I'm sorry to say that I have an email somewhere around here in my desk, Chrysler sent to me, informing me that MB is not allowed to do warranty work on Crossfires. I'll try and find it; if I can I'll post it to this thread.

I recently retired from Chrysler...(ok DaimlerChrysler) and knew for a while the Crossfire would be a retirement present to myself. The only issue I had buying the XF was the support we received from Karmann regarding service parts info for the parts catalog. Not very good, it was frustrating trying to resolve issues with bad information. It has improved but I still worry about needing that particular part...
I do love the car and plan on keeping it for the long haul. The performance and handling are superb.

I have heard and even read on some automotive web site (I forget which) that the contract Chrysler has with Karmann to produce the car only runs through 2010. So it's possible they won't continue after that if they go that long. Resale doesn't really matter to me. I didn't purchase the car with the intent of reselling anyway. As for the Firepower, my first impression of that was "looks like a second generation Crossfire". So, maybe they'll go in that direction... Who knows.

I've been trying to get a copy of the parts catalog to prevent this from happening in the future, but I can't lay my hands on one... It took 4 months to get the engine spec. for SCCA classification of the car because the aforementioned gentlemen didn't know the very basic info the SCCA Club Racing Board requires for classification of a car.
Here's something interesting:
WHISPERS: Chrysler Crossfire Production May Be Cut by as Much as Two-Thirds
Date posted: 02-01-2006
FRANKFURT — A German newspaper is reporting that Wilhelm Karmann, the company that makes the Chrysler Crossfire for DaimlerChrysler, plans to cut jobs as part of a two-thirds reduction in Crossfire production.
A DaimlerChrysler spokesman in Germany, quoted by the Dow Jones News Service, denied the report, calling it "an extremely pessimistic forecast that we don't accept." Nevertheless, the spokesman did acknowledge that some reduction in Crossfire production will take place.
The Crossfire went into production in 2003, and it is intended to have a five-year life cycle, the news service notes.

Yes! One step closer to discontinuement. Bring it on.
Chrysler couldn't sell snow blowers to eskimos. Stop laughing GM, you're next. Give me a Toyota anyday. Now in my garage 1998 Toyota Sienna 180,000 miles runs as new. Just picked up a 2002 Toyota Tundra. This thing rides smoother than my Crossfire.
