Default has this happened to anyone else?

the reflective end cap/button has fallen off at the bulb area... (its just floating around in there). the light still works.

dealer warranty... i guess. it probably will need a entire new fog lamp lense housing.

That stinks. I have not looked close at mine to see if it is serviceable, probably not.

it seems to be a one piece sealed lense.

the bummer is... i have a thick clear protectant lense film on it (xpel)... i guess i be ordering another piece for the new dealer supplied fog lamp. what a pain in rear.

this has happened to me on several occasions. in fact i just had all of my front lamps replaced and now somehow water got inside my fog lamp. this caused my light to explode and that cap fell off again this is the third time. does anyone have any suggestions because i am tired of having to deal with my local dealerships.

I had that happen to my car Andrew and I just took it in and they ordered the part. I took it in when the new foglight assembly came in, they installed it in about a half and hour and I was on my way, no problems.

i had a rock hit my pass side lense, so i ordered and replaced it. then the same thing happened and it was replaced two times since then. the drivers side also did it once and has been replaced. i just got tired of replacing it and have decided to return the car with it like it is.

i've also had three head units put in the car. all of then have similar problems of the fading read out area, skipping cd and also holding cd's inside.

as well as the rear headliner falling off 2 times and a list of other things that were wrong with the car and have to be replaced repeatedly.

on and don't forget the tranny. i've had two of then and now the second one is having the same problems as the first. not a good power shifter either.

you tell me why i didn't want to get another x-fire. even though i could have gotten it at the employee price...

Mine were replaced under warranty when the cap snapped out.

Same... except I stuck a screwdriver in there and helped the cap off

Okay, I'm really not sure why anyone has not tried this before, but I've successfully removed the cap from a fog light myself.

There are just a few Torx screws that you have to remove to get the whole assembly out. Once you have the fog light removed, you will see two sections that you have to separate (little clips). There's also a screw that when you loosen, will allow you to pull the assembly apart into two halves. Then you're free to take the bulb cap off.

The biggest speed bump I encountered was trying to get the assembly back together, because the rubber o-ring was a little difficult to get seated properly.

About time to revive this thread for a bit...
I hit a big bump and one of my caps fell off, Is there any way to fix this without getting all new fog lights?
I just want to put the cap back on, or take it out.

I had it happen to the roadster. I just ignored it. I took the roadster in for the inter cooler pump a while back. All I can figure is they replaced it. One day I noticed the cap was back on. I don't think it jumped back on. There isn't a really good way to get in there.

There is a way to get to it but it takes a while as you say.

They figured they had better fix it or get heck from the Sheriff. LOL

Peeps have glued it back on and it fell off again, it gets hot in there. So most just leave it off like the new design and snip off the two prongs that it was attached to.
Here's how to fix it.

Yep, used the wright up to get at the cap myself. Once I had it apart I saw WHY these caps come off. Their crimping system isn't very tight. So, with a few dental probes I was able to re-crimp the tabs that hold the cap to the frame, over a year and still holding.
