We had a TON of black ones at Carlisle. It was probably 3/4 of the Crossfires there were black! No Oyster either.

Just wheeled back in from Woodward..........maybe about 500-600 cars out there already! I'll probably head back out there tomorrow and snap some pictures!

 

Steve we hear them every night until late. Not irritating just noticeable is means summer!

 

LOL......I was rolling up to a redlight where a corvette and a mustang were completely stopped and chatting with each other, the light turned green and I punched it in 2nd from a 30mph roll, blew past both of 'em. at the next light I overheard the mustang owner telling the owner of the 'vette "That thing sounds great.......wish I could get that sound outta this.".....the whole time they were staring at my car. I have to admit......I was holding gears a little longer than I normally would just to get the sound. What made the whole thing absolutely priceless was the fact that the 'vette and the mustang wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with me! LMFAO.............suckers!


I really love this time of year!!!!

BTW... locals....I'm planning on going out there again tomorrow night to snap a few pics to make the out-of-towners jealous.

 

you mean they cruise all the time up there....I am jealous....can't get anyone to cruise around here....now ridin' the Harleys is different....

Steve we are going out, I'll call you later, yes on the pictures for the site, Woodward has been hopping for a few weeks, we've seen 1/2 dozen XF so far. No members that we can tell. Even drove by an open garage in a neighborhood and in there was a yellow XF. Would have been worth the looks on the home owners face to pull up in front of their house honk, they would do a double take.

Update on WDC- we pretty much ready. I'll mail a parking permit to you for Friday night (dinner) gets you a spot free If you sent me a check then I already have your address (from your envelope) if you did not PM it to me if you want a permit. The spot is free but I charge big bucks, no just kidding.
I'm checking with Tavern on 13 as we have hit and gone beyond the number of people that the space can hold even sitting tightly. I'll know more soon.

Great time Saturday night Ann and Gary! I think we gained a little more respect for the Crossfires. I just love this time of year.

As a general sidenote......I just knew that line of cars at 14 mile (A/FX Ramcharger Plymouth, Cobra, 40's pro-street pick-up, hot-rod 20's coupe) was going to go for it.....I think my ears are still ringing!

 

Steve, north of 16 Mile, they were fun to drive with. From what I saw not one of the drivers was a young inexperienced hot roding jerk. They were drivers who didn't endanger themselves, their cars or the rest of us. But after they talked back and forth they'd go for it -L-O-U-D! Last night a newer Mustang with a young kid driving kept trying to race (get this) a Viper. Duh was he dumb or just stupid? The Viper just floated in and out of a lane or two, in comparison the Mustang sounded like a lawn mower. We saw 6+ Vipers. Red with yellow flames, the new blue, but it's hard as the traffic is too slow for them.
