It was another great Dream Cruise. This was, I believe, my 14th year attending, but the last 2 years with the Crossfire gang have been the best. We had record numbers this year, I hope we get even more cars next year. (wouldn't it be great to get to 100!)

Thanks go out to Ann and Gary, you guys did a hell of a job setting this all up.

Ann, you definitely win the trooper award! With everything you had going on, then the unfortunate circumstances you had, (I'm so sorry.....that has to be tough. ), and on top of it all you were sick all weekend. Through it all you stuck around and made sure everything went off without a hitch. You're tops in my book!

All that's left to do is look forward to next year! Everyone leave 8-15-2009 open on your calendars! (It's always been the 3rd saturday of august.)

Valky - Your pictures & video were amazing! The one shot from the roof of the FD is on the way to our marketing dept to demonstrate the need for continued corporate support at the 2009 cruise.

Well done.

Diane and I made it back tonight and was told that there was a big storm yesterday up this way; we were very fortunate this year to have such great weather on the week-end.

Ann, we are very sorry to hear that your Dad passed away this past Saturday; cherish the memories and keep the faith that your Dad is in a better place now. Ann, Gary and the other Gary, you all deserve a great round of applause for the amount of work you have put in for us Xfire owners to enjoy the week-end together. THANKS!

We drove to Detroit with what we thought was a little car packed to the hilt...........only to realize that there is a little extra space in there for an Authentic Used NASCAR Tire. Who would thuck that I would come home with that little goodie for the garage. Thanks, WDC. Thanks, NASCAR. BTW, it couldn't have been used at the Brickyard 400 because there is still some 'dipples' left and no 'cord' showing.

YAA HOO!

Had a feeling you lived in Ann Arbor............the Exit was my first clue.

You're not CRAZY at all.................but what took you sooo long to learn that you had a NAV system. Thanks, for the info on the Luggage VIN #..............I'm going to check that right now............it better match my car.

See you next year.......GOD willing.l

Ann you did a terrific job putting everything together, I hope I can be of some help next year....

Ann, I'm so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you and your family.

Gary, glad you liked the pictures....think I finally figured out how to post a picture on my profile too....

Yes I live in AA....and I thought you were headed for Ohio but guess Canada was your destination....if your vin # doesn't match I'll take it off your hands...LOL

Judy, we were actually heading to Brooklin, MI for the race on Sunday; we stayed over at the Best Western in AA on Sunday night.

We checked the luggage last night and it appears to be a specific ID # for the luggage that possibly relates back to the designated owner on their files (in case of loss). Unless I discovered the wrong tag, it is not exactly the VIN #, same that appears on the dash of the Xfire. It is a metal tag maybe about 2" x 3/4" in size and is on a flap inside the big piece of luggage (with wheels). I will keep the luggage though..............it is the greatest.

You are right, that is what I get for not wearing my glasses I guess....I'm so disappointed and I traded the first owner of the car for this bag that is used and abused for a brand new bag that I paid someone $100 for....live and learn Iguess...wonder if he would trade me back...LOL Well thanks for the info...

Yesterday Gary and I stopped in to Tavern on 13 for a quick beer. We were appalled at the parking lot. I knew the construction was on going and they had said due to be done, but come on, the lot was a mess. Very sorry, We would have had a hard time taking our XF in it, worried about stone chips and all of that dust.

Speaking of yesterday, the mail arrived. To say I was surprised is an understatement. A very sincere thank you from both Gary and I. What I actually said was " *%@ *%#%@#$ @#^$&* !!! "
I'm looking towards 2009 being even better ESPECIALLY for Gary and I. The fun is why we do the work and it's thank you enough, but each of you were very kind and thoughtful in doing this and we will defiantly enjoy putting a serious dent in it Ann

Ann, the parking lot was ok...........I didn't even notice anything wrong with it other than some construction going on around the perimeter of the lot; in fact, all I saw was SMILES in the group picture that was taken there.

If anyone can de-code what Ann said, I would love to find out. Sure hope you weren't out of pocket on the Woodward lot.

Roy,

Not out of pocket on 13WW lot, unless Ali didn't get his last $5 for bathroom privileges. If that's the case I will avoid the place

I think you are referring to me (Gary) if I'm not mistaken.
I am happy you stopped by and I am even happier to see you have joined us here on our forum. Could I add you to the list for next year ??

I have already started a thread for Woodward 2009.....
