We made it to Fayetteville NC last night, it was a great trip. Time to get a little quality new granddaughter time in before the Dragon. We will leave for the Dragon on Friday afternoon. Lots of LEO's out yesterday, more than I've ever seen out in one trip down here.

Didn't make it all the way down to SC today, but we did have fun on 28 to Franklin; like a mini dragon.
Had the Allman Bros. Mountain Jam and Blue Sky on the last bit back to the lodge...just seemed fitting as the sky was very blue in these mountains with very few clouds.
We did stop in Bryson and I did pick up a couple of big bottles of Meguiars Gold car wash, so I think we have enough for quite a few of you to wash your crossies.

Wow! What a September. Good grief. I am SOOOOOO ready for a break. And what do ya know: I leave for the Dragon tomorrow! Hell yeah!
I am so pumped to see that so many of my old friends will be there and a ton of new friends too. I know I haven't been to active here in the last few months, but it's putting a smile on my face just reading about all the folks that are coming this year.
I can't wait ta see y'all (it is down south ya know).
Now, everyone say a prayer that I don't get any tickets on the way down.

Gary, What about taking the Foothills Parkway to the Dragon this year from Florence? It is slightly out of the way, but some of us won't be going on that run Sunday. It will add 14 minutes/4 miles to the trip.

Itsky arrived in time today for a lunch and then I put him to work waxing Crumpy's SRT.
We sat around my backyard pond and solved a good number of the world's problems so this weekend will be safe and quiet for ya'll.
Amazing what two beers will accomplish. Shame it didn't work so easy for Barry.
Anyway, he is bedding down here tonite and three really cool Crossies begin their "spiritual" trek to Mecca in the morning.
Assuming the law doesn't find a reason to interrupt our pilgrimage, we will arrive in the holy lands of the Dragon around 6:00 PM.
See ya there!

Well the wife and I headed up to the lodge to do some last minute PC activity and damned if when we walked out of the cabin it was raining. It appears as if tropical storm Nicole has decided to come inland a little bit more than expected; there goes my horse riding tomorrow
We have scattered thunder storms for Thurs, so be careful driving folks, the roads are more than likely going to be slick as you get into the area. Parts of it are almost to Knoxville from the map and heading Northerly.
So I guess it is a good thing I picked up the car wash. If someone stops near a store where you can pick up some sponges, you might want to grab some. I didn't get any tire shine, so you might want to get some of that too.

Sponges? Use them on your significant other, but not on your car. It is much more fun.
