Absolutely right on Gary. Thr price of admission to this group is not a fast Crossfire but a warm handshake and a friendly smile.

Bringing a little booze to the driver's meeting on Friday night does not appear to hurt, either.

So true Mark but that is when you need to be following Kim. She has ways to get them to move over and clear the way. I have seen this in action.

Kim we will miss you this trip.

I just encourage them to use one of the many, many pull offs in a timely fashion. I do always say thank you & wave. To be fair, if you are from Blount Co, TN then there is NO excuse for hitting the Dragon at 10mph. The Dragon IS their backyard!!!

George, I will be driving up from FL on Friday morning with one or two others. If you would like to meet up on I-40 (somewhere around exit 44) in Asheville around lunch time, I would be happy to have you join the convoy into Fontana. Or, if things fall through with your friend, I will be cruising up I-26 and can meet you anywhere along the way. This is my eighth trip (I think) and I realize the first one can be a little intimidating, but I can promise that you will not feel out of place.

Send me a PM if you want to join some of us driving in and we can coordinate times and places as it gets closer to the event. Looking forward to meeting you.

Yo Danimal! Looks like we (friend and I) will be traveling solo. We will be able to find the dam by ourselves and set up for a weekend of fun and fellowship. Can't wait!

No worries, I installed front mounted RPG's for this trip! They seek out slow pokes!

Be careful and remember 95% is just as fun as 100% and safer

I'll be bringing some Colorado Native and Fat Tire (you cannot get Colorado Native outside of Colorado and Fat Tire seems to be hard to find east of the Mississippi). I'll also bring some mixers.

Just want all the newbies coming to know that the drinking is in the evenings in the lodge lobby and we're all sober during the day on the runs.

We do know how to party and have a good time...LOL

It's definitely growing on me now. Fat Tire is a bit better IMHO.

George, there is plenty of water....and it's free. I can't imagine mixing anything else with a good bourbon. On the rocks is perfect....uuuhhhmmmm....in my humble opinion. A good time will be had by all.

My mother has a embroidery machine and was thinking about makeing some hats for the Dragon gtg what i need to know is how many ppl will be interested in one and what exactly would be the best logo and colors. If anyone has any ideas speak up. She can also put names on them for ppl that would like it personalized.. ill need the numbers and ideas by monday so we can order the hats.. The more hats the cheaper it will be per hat. If we dont get enough interest then i might just make a few and bring them.
