I would love to go. But it is a long drive from Fl. I did it in the Crossfire a few years ago. I have to go to CA in Aug. I may be able to combine the trips if the timing works out.

Man that is a long drive, I drove from Tampa to Reno and needless to say I never drove back. In 1996 though it seemed all of the roads in Texas were under construction. Traffic was down to one lane for what seemed like 100 miles.

We would have to give you some kind of award if you made it!

 

You can put me down as a tentative. Also my son Tyler will drive his NA.

We will attend at least in part, since we live less than 100 miles away. Cathleen gets uncomfortable spending too many hours in the roadster.

Perhaps we could use her 4-door RAM 1500 as a chase car. God knows there's little room for road emergency supplies in our trunks.

We keep a small 3" think memory foam pillow in the boot of the car. When we go on longer drives Zo sits on it and it helps her tons! Otherwise she complains about her legs hurting. My mom complains of the same thing on long road trips in my dads Z06. Because of this we figure it must be because your legs are almost straight out in front of you. I had my mother use the same pillow and she too said it helped her legs and hips feel so much better.

If Texas T will pull me, and F Troop will push me, we would like to represent the Bright Silver Crossfires. Google shows 1850 miles from deep East Texas, the first 850 mostly in Texas. Got ya added and it is our pleasure to put on the event! If anyone has any ideas or suggestions make sure you toss them out there. My wife and I have helped plan Fund Raising events for different Charities but never anything like this.

Really any suggestions are much appreciated!

Feed Stinky's Donkey Bernadine some baby carrots while in Virginia City!



I was thinking to myself what would be the deal maker to get all of you Crossfire lovers out out there on the fence to jump on this CAA event. Then it hit me! Who would not want to drive across the country to feed a donkey owned by a guy named Stinky? I mean how could anyone resist that!

And to those out there thinking they can not convince their wives, this is pure gold. Every couple my wife and I have ever taken up to Virginia city, the woman has just had to feed and pet the donkey and have a photo taken with it and Stinky (including my wife!)

 

Please count Mopar or No Car as two -- David and Cathleen.

We're still mulling over whether to drive the RAM up and tow the roadster. A chase vehicle with supplies and a trailer can be a godsend when you need one.

Offering to supply truck and trailer(tow dolly?)is very generous, and would be great insurance and peace of mind for everybody. If you decide to do this, I'm sure we could all pitch in for the fuel fillup. You've got my vote.
