Taking me a bit to get back to this thread. Started a new job and it is killing me! Crunch time is until submission date of August 24thfor approval for a release date of the software on September 1. I did not expect this job to come up but it will be exciting if the startup is a success!!! Zo and I were going to be up in VC all 3 days but we may just keep our Hotel room for me to work when I am up there and trying my best to host. She might pop in from time to time to tell me to take a break. But this side job could really help with our future plans!

Below is a list of those that have told me they are attending or stopping in. I called VC and 12 rooms have been booked so far at the Silverland. I do not know where others are staying. Mopar or no car will be down in Reno and meeting up with us at sometime. He wanted to meet in Pines but a big fire was started there yesterday caused by lightening. There are some other fires going on currently so we will have to see what they change in the schedule. The drive that I got the most excitement for was the Tahoe loop and we are a OK there. No fires.. Yet this season up there.

I will try to be better at getting back to this thread and everyone's PMs.

No one seemed to want a solid schedule. Everyone wanted to be able to pick and choose what they did. So the tentative schedule does not need for you to sign up for anything. In the morning as a group everyone can decide to go to an even, hang out or just relax since they are on vacation.

 

I think my son wont be able to attend because school starts the week of the GTG. So his room at the Silverland Hotel will be available if someone wants it. Its reserved for checking in on the 20th and out on the 23rd. Otherwise I'll need to cancel it 72hrs before.
Reply here or shoot me a pm if you want me to keep it available for you (anyone). And apologies for not remembering what the room rate is. If someone wants the reservation I can call the Hotel and get it.

Looks like I wont be getting to go to the Vegas to Reno race but I will still be down at the Silverland for CAA #3! Just got the oil changed and gave her a quick look over, nothing needs to be done. I will give it a much better look over next week while I am finishing the prep work.

 

Too bad you will miss the race but awesome that you will make it up to Reno!

 

Its just a time/personnel thing keeping me from going to the race. Would have been a blast for sure.

 

The Crossfire rate was $89 a night as long as we do not drop below ten. Last time I checked it had dropped from 12-11.

 

If the rooms go from 11 to 9 I will switch my try to switch my reservation up there from my friends B&B to the hotel to keep the group rate.

How about this? I'll meet you in the Holiday Inn parking lot at 8:30AM on the 20th. I'll bet there won't be too many Crossfires so yours should be easy to find.

We can decide then whether to eat breakfast or hit the road for awhile first.

One suggestion. Don't buy fuel at the Chevron on the corner as you turn on to Idaho St.. They are hiway robbers and consistently are much higher priced than other places in town. If you want, wait until we meet and I'll take you to the Maverick.
