Ill miss you and Ruth but I plan to make a Dragon soon. Gas alone to Reno and back will be $500+, holy crap.
Take care my friend

Now that you have been single out... All I can say is good luck haha. I think most of us out here on this coast have probably live somewhere else. I do not have one friend that actually grew up in the state they now live... Well my wife, she grew up in Vegas and now lives in Reno. But southern and northern NV are so different they seem like two states haha. I myself lived in Texas, Florida, Alabama and Virginia before moving here.

And isn't $500 bucks worth a life time of memories (que sappy music)

Perhaps after dinner on one of our evenings we'll have time to go and win some gas money at the Casino?

I can give you guys a few suggestions on Casinos in Reno, Tahoe, Carson, Sparks and even Vegas. There are nice ones, decent ones, scummy ones, and even scummy ones that can be fun to check out!

Woke the Xfire from its winter slumber today, the CAA is getting closer!

What is everyone doing to get their car ready for the meet?

I am installing parts that I have been sitting on.

Do you autocross near by? I will be down in Santa Rosa in May and would mind checking it out.

The May autox is scheduled for the 5th(Sat.). I'll let Steve give you the details since he heads the event, chairman. Would be great to meet you. It's approx. 15-20 min.'s from Santa Rosa.

Man we should try to do a CAA in Santa Rosa next year during one of the Autocross events. That would be really cool!

Yes, from Hwy.1 to 101 via Hwy. 128. I like to call it the "West Coast Dragon", lol. If there is anyway possible for me to be in the area during your visit, maybe we could meet and talk over the CAA#3. Or, you're welcome to come over to the coast too.

We are going to be doing wine tasting on the 21st, so we may be closer to you and a possibility. Let me find out what the actual plan is. What I know so far is that our friend wanted us to come down to go wine tasting and that my wife has rented us a hotel for 3 nights.

I wish we could get down to the coast. We have not been to my favorite little town next to you (Elk) yet this year. With the CAA, her school and our two big trips in the later half of the year I do not know if we are going to be able to.

That is a great drive, the second time we drove down your way I made the mistake of taking a side road that the gps said would save us time and went straight to ELK... We hit a huge bump in the road and almost went over a cliff... I have never heard the xfire scrap so much after reconnecting with the road. And thank god my seat belt held me in the seat! Some really fun roads out that way but man you need to know them well.

HaHa, I'm pretty sure you probably took the Philo Greenwood Rd., it is definitely a backroad! Hwy.128 is best, all the way to the coast, then head South. Recently re-paved, no pot holes, C.H.P. is a rarity; it rocks!
I'll P.M. you with my #'s in case you decide to make it over. I'm sure looking forward to the Reno/Tahoe area, and like I told you, we're here to help w/ whatever you may need, just let us know.

Are you still filming that same T.V. pilot? You're missing this Sat. AX? Steady work thru Aug. is a great thing though.

So it sounds like we are very likely to make it to this one! Only thing really stopping us is if any of our vacation times are not approved, which I don't see happening. We are thinking about extending the time a bit, hitting San Francisco first, then stop back through Reno/Tahoe/VC on the way back, staying a couple days after the event and then make our way back home. hoping to make it 9 days in all. Should be a blast.
Also my wife mentioned that the only way I get to go is if she is along with me, so if you could add that little snippet for me up in the attending listing I would greatly appreciate it.
One last thing, the 3rd day both the wife and I liked the alternative route around the lake as a drive if its up for a vote or however we want to decide that.

Looking forward to summer, and now the end of summer to get out and enjoy the roadster!

That is going to be a great trip! Do you need any advice where to stay or eat in San Fran?

I think the lake route would be a wise choice. Everyone can have an easy ride for their rears before spending a day on the road.

We would love suggestions for places to stay and visit while in San Fran if you have any for us.
My vacation was approved for the whole week so we will probably leave bright and early Saturday morning, drive hard to get to San Fran then enjoy a couple days there. My wife loves seafood so we will definitely want to find a good waterfront restaurant to eat at. She knows about Fisherman's Wharf already so if you know of something as good/better we are all ears.
We are looking forward to this trip and meeting fellow crossfire owners!
