Got my parking pass, and the room is booked at the Courtyard Auburn Hills. Reservation is for the 17th and 18th, and I'm sharing the room with another member. (helps keep cost down). But I also wanted to book for Thursday nite also, and the hotel told me that a room on Thursday is not in the special Crossfire pricing, and the cost for that nite would be $129 + taxes. NO THANKS ... so I found a room at the Rodeway Inn in Auburn Hills for Thursday nite (16th) at $49.00, so I intend on traveling Thursday, and get to the cruise area on Saturday early. Anybody want to get there on Thursday, and wants to share this room, just let me know.

 

Will any of you also be at the Chrysler Nationals in Pa on Jult 5th? If so I will alsoo see you there.

Howard - I know it's 2 months out, but I'd be glad to meet you Thurs nite for dinner somewhere if you get here early enough. Also, I plan on parking at Memorial Park on Friday (per our parking pass) and hanging out at the Cruise until the rest of the Crossfire group hits Motown later that afternoon/evening.

Sounds good to me ..... Start the "party" early, as they say ..... I'll let you know about dinner .... but that sounds OK, if I get in early enuff ...... Like you, my intent is to get to the "cruise" area early and stake out a good viewing spot.

MsGump ..... are they roping off an areas for "group" parking, or is it 1st come, 1st served? I know there was an outlined area on the park map, that indicated thats where we'll be, but I was just wondering .......

That is why they asked everyone to put "Crossfire Club" on the top of the form so they will know how many of us there are and they will put us all together....

 

Jim, lets pick a place to have dinner and meet up on Thursday and any of the others that are coming in early can meet up and also the locals that are available...what do you think?
