We have just gotten word that VP Fuels will be our Official Fuel Supplier for the upcoming Chicago 1/2 Mile Shootout!!
They are bringing their Semi-Truck and it will be full of high octane fuel for your vehicle's personal enjoyment!!

 

This beyond sucks guys, my birthday is june 4th and I'm gonna be busy planning that and making it happen properly. :|

I REALLY wanna come hang with you all again though, because the last Chicago meet was too short lived lol

going to be close getting car ready...still having problems getting the zeitronix up, and have new tires to mount and break in...busy weekend coming and you guess it...calling for cooler temps and rain....haven't had a nice weekend to work on them yet...but, this weekend rain or shine....she is getting done...

 

Let me know if you need a hand turning a wrench, I will be around.

We are going up Saturday, watching, staying in the hotel Saturday night and a friend is competing on Sunday as well, so we will stay for that. You just going on Sunday or will you be there all weekend?

Well, I broke a fitting off the return tank today... Not sure if the fix I did is going to leak or not. did some wiring today. Still have a ways to go. I started all over again....didn't like what I saw from last fall. Rob and Rudy better be on stand by once I tear back into it tomorrow... They may hear me cussing way up north...

Pressures on guys! Brian Brave has the 1 mile record and yours truely the 1/2 ... unless .... Brian, did they measure the 1/2 mile on your run? Anyway, I want to see someone raise the bar in Chicago. Doc, glad to see you finally took off your dress shirt and worked on the coupe. Bring it! I want videos, photos, records, what pressure ...... represent us well. I get the feeling I'm more excited about this than the participants. Todas las balas.

Weather has sucked all year here. I am down to making connections to power up the dashdaq/zeitronix. Then some new skins to scrub in. Little lower profile in the front a little wider in the rear. Hopefully have it all done Saturday.

 

I've run the 1/2 mile with 255's on the front and 225's too. .01 difference. With the passenger seat and without. Couldn't measure a difference. Street tires and drag radials. Traction is non existent on runways so no difference I could measure. I felt like my car died in 4th but that's where I pulled, or lost less ground with the car in the parallel lane. I've taped all the seams and run dirty. With weight taken out, all taped up, race gas, drag radials, spinning all through 1rst or not. One or two mph max difference. Nothing will show the horsepower your making more than the 1/2 mile. Trust me, the best test you can do to know where you really stand. Doc, all you really need is the wide band and if you run with Sunoco 104 13.5 is safe. Ask me how I know.
