This has been a fun time here in Branson
It looks like we have about 26 people here for the pre CAA kick off

Tomorrow the plan is to have brunch as a group at Big Cedar Lodge at 11:30 Meeting place for the drive to big Cedar Lodge will be at the Lodge at the Falls hotel at 10:30 AM Sunday morning

After brunch folks will have the option to stick around Branson a little longer or head to Eureka Springs

Check in time is not until 4 PM in Eureka Springs so there's no hurry to arrive sooner than that unless you want to check out the town before getting your rooms

Looking forward to seeing many more of the folks attending CAA6 arriving in Eureka Springs

Waking up in Memphis just now... George and I will get there before many of the rest of you, but not before I buy a new battery.
The battery is sitting at 11 volts - I think it was harmed by the ongoing undercharging.

We really overwhelmed this hotel and the Bavarian Inn restaurant.
Got MY route planned for Tomorrow - yes, that's right, these desperate people made me a leader.


Again.


They NEVER learn.

 

CAA 6 is off to a good start. We leave from the Quality Inn after breakfast in groups of 10-12 cars at about 830. If you are at another hotel, please be here by 830!!!!!!

 

We just figure hearing about how many times they turned around and the mass confusions will make for quality evening stories!

 

Speaking of confusion:

And if anyone cares, I'm intending to do Route 4 - with (I hope) an added attraction along the way that I realize I've been to. (It will mean a 10-15 mile detour off the intended path - but at least its paved.)

 

Did Valk say he and Danimal were doing route 4? Not that it makes an issue since we can depart two different directions..

 

I'm thinking Route 5 myself... Wildlife refuge park being an option along the route.

 

I led a group counterclockwise around Route 4, but included (and I"m sorry I could not get word of this to all leaders) a detour off the intended route to view the "Natural Bridge" and a great scenic view.

I will lead a group down the same route again on Tuesday IF anyone is interested.

 

For the record, you led a great run today at CAA, I Will take last car in your group anytime.

On Tuesday I will be leading a group on Route #1 and we will make a few small changes to the planned route to shorten it up a little without missing any of the points of interest along the way.
We will need to be lined up under the canopy by the entrance to the lobby at the Quality Inn hotel at 8:30am for our departure

 

I am considering a modified Route 1 as well, but again, IF we have enough people who want to do Route 4 with my added detour, I will do that instead.
I will be at breakfast at 7AM and see what people think....

 

Praying for safety for you guys.. not much I can do for the deer.

 

Looks like Mary & I will be cutting our stay short......leaving this morning. Mary got in this morning to see the dentist here in town about her toothache. Seems she'll need a root canal. Gave us pain meds for the ride back home. We had to cancel tomorrow's lunch on the train so wanted to let everyone know there are two openings available if you call quick. We enjoyed meeting everyone these last few days. Have fun and see you all next time.
