I will mention that you should contact pizzaguy (Mark) here on the forum
He usually runs a convoy of Crossfires from Georgia when he heads up to Fontana Dam
Not sure if your travel times / plans will work with his but it's worth the time to check it out
Always more fun to travel in groups ya know

They you will REALLY have a good weekend, everywhere you go, you will be parking with other XFs and drivign with other XFs...

REMINDER ALL:

YOu will have a much better time if you have FRS radios with you - you need one per car, if you bring two, you can loan one to someone who didn't get the message.
On MY runs, I just insist everyone have a radio - once you get there, you will understand why!

I REALLY expected the Lodge to be booked by now.

 

Seems the Lodge is indeed booked, but we got the group's rate in the "garden units" (whatever that is)? Supposed to be on the grounds, so that will be fine unless we get a cancellation advisory and can move into the Lodge.

We have marine grade FRS radios that we can bring...Our marine VHF hand-helds also cover that that band and have really good range. Looking forward to leaning more about our new ride...she's amazing!

 

Yes the "Garden Rooms" are on the property and I think those are the rooms down by the outdoor pool (behind the main lodge building)
Others have stayed in these rooms once the "Main Lodge" building is full
Bring a good flashlight as it is dark outside at night walking the property
