The last time we attended a ToD Crossfire weekend in Fontana, we stayed in a room at Garden Unit 'A'. Room was really nice, as I remember. Sort of a hike up the hill to the lodge for evening GTG's.

We went as a small group to the road to no where last spring, takes little more than an hour from the lodge to get there - if you are a walker/hiker at all, plan an extra few hours and you can walk down to the lake and back from the tunnel.
I keep saying that I'm going to do that, but never do. Views from the road itself of the Lake are quite something as well.
That might be something to do Friday morning - we'd be back by 1-3pm and could sit around and wait for the Friday people to pull in...

And for those that are in town all day Friday as I will be....
Please don't forget about the opportunity to Join Franc Rauscher for a scenic drive to his friends beautiful home on the mountain for a wonderful lunch
We will still be back at Fontana Lodge by about 3pm to meet and greet the others arriving
I went to this home last year and it was a nice drive and a fantastic lunch !!
Be sure to send a PM to Franc Rauscher if you plan to attend so he can notify the hosts to prepare them for the number of us who will be attending
