Told the wife about this event coming up mid-year 2017 and she's ready to go right now! Back in 2015, we ate at a place called The Stone House. Quaint cheese & wine bar on S. Main Street as you drive into the old town. Located right across the street from ride depot. We had an excellent assortment of cheeses, breads, & fruit accompanied by excellent wine. Afterwards, we went upstairs to another sitting area and had an assortment of chocolates with coffee/cappuccino. We will definitely take in this eatery during the trip this upcoming June.

These are the popular tourist routes in the area (traveled FAR less than, say, roads around the Dragon).
But we have a local Crossfire owner (John and Peggy TwoHawks) that have showed us some really good runs that take you less than 1 hour from the hotel - I will try to post the one route I know soon.
ABOUT ROUTE 1A - When Pizzaguy was working in the area a few years ago, he discovered "The Natural Bridge" which is a stone bridge over an erroded rock formation that was formed naturally - but it LOOKS like someone built it.
One more option:For those who like to walk, we will also pass by a very unusual foot trial just south of Jasper that circles a tall natural rock formation. This is the sight of a WWII era military plane crash - one engine is near the trail. There is a stairway up to the top that takes you to an old Indian ceremonial ground. This option will cost us almost an hour to go visit and you want to carry a LOT of insect repellent. The climb is steep but if you don't hurry most of us can make it. Pizzaguy will make at least one trip up there during the week unless there is CONSTANT rain or no interest.

We stayed in Nashville on the way out to Eureka Springs in 2015. Also did that overnight when we went to CAA1 in St. Louis. Stayed downtown & walked over to music district.

I really want to do this. Just too early to commit. Seems like something always comes up and I cant get away, but not in 2017. I am headed to FL in a week to take some time off. 'This year I am going to take the time to do things. I had a supervisor try to cut my throat about a month back. Thankfully he was put in his place by his supervisor. Things have changed. I feel more appreciated. And my contract I have kind of helped. He didn't know what was in the contract. Pays to get things in writing. So, I am now going to take the time off that was built into that contract. Something I had not done before. His supervisor stated in our little get to together I had paid my dues and then some. Have some fun this year. I am going to take him up on it.

I POSTED YESTERDAY CRUMPY AND I IN OUR NEW AERO BLUE SRT6 CONVERTIBLE.
I'm in for this. Crumpy and I have the new SRT ragtop with which to toy around town.
Last year was great except I had to leave early. Near as I can tell we will be allowed back in town. Let's try harder this year eh?

It was always hard to say no. You have responsibilities. The cars set for the most part. My trailer sits. So when you finally get a break to do a trip on the spir of the moment, something isn't ready, or something breaks, or someone needs something done... Even my half mile event this year, the coupe was ready 2 nights before, and the tahoe broke a u-joint on the way down. It seems it is never ending. Time to slow down. I will do what I can to be ready this time. The roadster should make the trip without too many problems I hope. She needs driven. Hope to make it. We have friends not an hour from Eureka.

Well, this is escalating quickly. 16 cars in three days....
Sorry 'bout missing your post in the other thread, Franc - I'm still recovering from surgery - head is a little cloudy. (Nick says its syphilitic insanity...)
