Oh, and we do not have a spare CPS since we hadn't planned on taking a trip until the Dragon at the earliest! Can we just pull one out of one of the others just in case? Is it bad to pull a CPS for a week?
I'll make you guys nametags in case you are able to make it....
The Midwest convoy arrived safely at 4:30
Myself, Annette, Lisa and Frank are here !!
Danimal is here to and Gene and Karla due to arrive shortly then out to dinner together
Then back to the hotel for some nice outdoor evening chat etc.

If you didn't make it to CAA#8 in Eureka Springs you've missed a GREAT Crossfire get-to-gether. We're enjoying perfect weather and the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks is an ideal host hotel for our group! They appreciate us being here and they are taking wonderful care of our group. We're also having lots of fun on our daily driving trips running the uncrowded twisty hilly Ozark Mountain roads and stopping at some excellent local restaurants on our lunch breaks. In short, everything here is pretty perfect.
The CAA#8 planning committee is in agreement that we're going to make Eureka Springs an annual summer Crossfire event. Look for an official announcement later with specific dates and details but you can mark your calendar and start planning to join the fun in Eureka Springs, Arkansas late June 2018! YEAH!

Well berries, work has gotten in the way of life again. We were blessed with four new projects two weeks ago, and we kidded ourselves into believing that we could still get away for a few day and enjoy everyone's company, BUT, reality has set in, and we can't take off work without irritating our customers. One of the projects is a school renovation, which has to be completed by August 1st. and we just started work today, and we don't even have building permits yet. Don't tell anyone All of you have fun, be safe, enjoy those terrific Arkansas roads and scenery, and the great hospitality in Eureka Springs, and don't hit any deer this year. Thanks to all of you who invested your time and hard work in planning this great rally! Best wishes!!

You are not suffering alone as I too must postpone my dreams of driving the Crossie with friends in order to fulfill the needs of our customers. The Wife went to see the grandkids in CT and I had to stay and run the business.
Last year I had to leave early because of work.
This event is only 5 hour drive away. I do hope it becomes a permanent event in the Ozarks. Perhaps next year I will be able to remove the harness for a few days chumming with good friends..

This has been a very good week here in Eureka Springs !!!
This has now officially taken on a new "Annual event" status and will be held for 1 week each summer.
This was talked about among many here in attendance and decided by the current planning committee established when this event was launched.
This event will take on its own new name and not carry the "CAA" title going into the future.
We all here encourage "CAA" to continue at other locations too for years to come.
We have more local residents here now to support the planning and this is partially how this has become "Annual event" going forward.
The date for next years meet here in Eureka Springs has not yet been determined but as soon as it is and we have decided a new thread title for it
I will post up a new "Save the Date" thread and open the new thread at the beginning of next year for signing up and info about the event
What we do know for sure is that the hotel we are at this week will be to host hotel for our group for years to come too !!
It has been a fantastic property for us all week and then management is awesome
Today is the last official day of CAA8 here this week and I'm excited that it has launched itself into an event with its own new title for years to come.

I'm not sure we need, or can support a fourth, annual event. Frankly I don't see the CAA continuing without the group that has supported it for years either. I would suggest it remains the CAA and that it remains in Eureka Springs where it has proven to be successful.
That said, let us see what happens.
It is so exciting to hear that the event went well for all. I look forward to meeting some attendees who will also be at the fall Dragon. Andi hope, in the future, my life gives me the time to once again enjoy Eureka Springs next year. And for many years to come.

I have nothing but good things to say about Caa8. We had a wonderful time and are already planing to go back. It was a much better place to stay than Fontana Lodge, in all respects.

Ditto, nice seeing you again Wayne.
I spent some time with your friend that brought the T-Bird, nice guy and interesting conversation about the car, learned a lot.
